The beat goes on for the Rockies. Anyone with him on your fantasy teams might want to let him go.

DENVER -- Colorado Rockies rookie sensation Clint Barmes will miss at least three months after breaking his left clavicle in a fall at home, the team said Monday.

Barmes, 26, the team's starting shortstop, will undergo surgery Tuesday. He fell Sunday night while carrying groceries up a flight of stairs.

Barmes was leading National League rookies in nearly every offensive category, including batting average (.329), runs (40), hits (74), doubles (16), home runs (8) and RBIs (34).

He was seventh overall in the league in batting average, tied for fourth in hits and tied for fifth in runs scored.

That stinks. I thought everyone knew that the tripping over the dog story was BS by now.

That sucks....Barmes is a good Hoosier kid.....and a very nice guy. That is too bad as he was finally getting his opportunity and was taking full advantage. I had him in a couple of my bb leagues which only furthers the disappointment.
