I've been gone for a couple days, so I don't know if this has been discussed. So here it is...

Broncos | Could Invite Couch to Camp - from www.KFFL.com
Sun, 5 Jun 2005 08:18:50 -0700

Tony Grossi, of the Plain Dealer, reports if free agent QB Tim Couch (Packers) can get his shoulder fully healthy, the Denver Broncos might invite him to training camp.

I guess this would fall in place with a few other off season moves we've made, he is first round talent. HAHA!! However, since he's never really shown anything, especially in the past couple years, I really don't think he could help us. But the backup QB position isn't really what I would like it to be. I'd be all for seeing what he has...which probably isn't much, but like some of our other moves they'd be intriguing.

Couch couldn't hit the broadside of a barn in NFLE. Saban kicked him to the curb.

Pass.

Danno is better. Sad but true.

How did this guy go in the first round if he's that bad? Interesting how poorly teams judge talent, esp. QB's.

There's so many 1st round busts.

Couch not working out wasn't shocking at all to a lot of people. In college, if I remember right, something like 90% of Couch's completions were for 10 yds or less. That was a big stat that came out just before the draft, and Cleve took him anyway. There was a lot of people that kept saying "Bad move, bad move, don't do it." But they did.
