How about the Magic? That's back when Penny Hardaway was good, and they had a good supporting cast.

How about when he first got to LA, before Kobe became a star player? They didn't get close to the championship. Got blown out in the Western Conference Finals a couple of times.

D-Wade is carring that team, Wade played his college hoops with Marquette (in Wisconsin). Stan Van Gundy (former Badgers coach) also has a big part to with the Heats suscess.

While the formerly below average Heat are on the precipice of the NBA Finals, the last time we saw any Laker on TNT in this postseason, it was Jeanie Buss at the NBA Draft Lottery of all things, praying and wishing along with the rest of the bottom of the barrel clubs in the league for a high pick.

And the best thing of all is that L.A. area fans deserve this. 100%. L.A. area have got to be the softest, most wishy washy, bandwagoning, unsportssophisticated fans of any relatively big sports town. This isnt a Cleveland, this isnt a Pittsburgh. There is no hard core anything here. This is garbage. I am glad they were humiliated this year. Its about time.

Kobe also still had a whirlwind of **** in his personal life troubling him. plus, a lot of the supporting cast was gone from the year before. if not for Dwayne Wade the Heat wouldnt even be sniffing the playoffs.
