Smith, Lelie and Watts are locks. That leaves Luke, Rice, Jackson, Johnson, Adams, Crenshaw and Devoe. I think they carry six and Luke, Rice, and Jackson make the final roster.

Shanahan has never really had the confidence in Adams to get him on the field. He's gone...

Adams is gone. Luke, Rice, Watts, Lelie, Rod.
BJ Johnson on the practice squad.

Jackson and romar crenshaw for the final spot and if Jackson doesn't hurt him self again then he'll make it.

It's Adams, cut twice in last two years.

Rice will become the new long snapper thus opening a spot for an extra wide receiver

Doesn't Adams get cut every year?

How could you forget Grant Mattos!???! He is a lock for a roster spot! (kidding aside, he is a pretty big boy) rofl

Myers long snap??? LOL!!

If so I'm having nightmares about our FG unit. Did anybody see him "try" it in the senior bowl I think it was. Talk about ugly. Unless he magically improves since then and they have faith in him I'm guessing Leach will receive another paycheck.

Wasting a roster spot and cap room every year on Leach gets on my nerves.

If Rod Gardener is cut by the Redskins to save salary cap space and because they couldn't trade him, I hope Jerry Rice is the first cut and we can replace him with Gardener.

Drek,

Hopefully I am wrong, but I doubt it. I also hate wasting a spot on Leach every year. Although remembering the giants game one year illustrates how even the long snapper is an important position.

No way we can afford Gardener. And if we can I'm going to kick shanny in the nuts for letting Demulling go without so much as a conversation.

Agreed on both points. I thought Demulling was a no brainer for us. Gardner will get a ton of play as a FA.

I went with Adams. Nate at least contributed a little last year...

My sentiments exactly. Williams will return punts and that is all Luke did before. My choice would be to cut Rice - but that won't happen.

I love how we trade training camp fodder with the Chargers all year.

Now that Rice has joined the crew, I predict Shanny will carry 7 WR's on the active squad this year. Smith, Lelie, Watts, Rice, Johnson, Jackson and Crenshaw or Luke.
He will make up the difference on special teams, LS, K, etc.

Two of the above will go as they will likely carry only 5 on the active roster. Probably Adams and Jackson that are gone with Johnson and Crenshaw on the PS.

Out of all of them besides Rice I think Jackson has the least upside. He isn't that fast, he isn't that physical.
