Cant believe that but according to NFLPA that's Marco's base salary for 2005.
I actually thought they brought him back in on the veteran minimum which meant he would only count $500k against the cap.
Can anyone confirm this, Herc???

Didn't he star in the Longest Yard version 1.0?

I think he gets the 'veteran exemption,' I believe.
Not exactly sure of the specifics, but I believe he receives $1 mil, but only counts $400 thousand+ against the cap. It's an exemption for players that have been in the league for a certain amount of time.

exactly. He counts as a rookie but gets $1million.

He only counts at a discounted rate, which is not a rookie rate, if he makes the vet minimum

Which then means the salary he's on is not the vet minimum and counts fully against the cap.

Looks like it. Can't believe they gave Marco a raise from last season.
