Nobel Causeway has the best value, Aflett Alex should definetly be the favorite. My pick though, -Giacamo.

I had fun playing the ponies in Vegas. I wasn't half bad for a rookie. Casinos hate the sportsbooks. Too much maintainance. They want everyone to be robots and play slots.
I'm not even going to pretend to have a clue about this race. Slap probably knows something. He's probably at the casino right now.
BTW, this cowtown is getting a Casino a couple towns away, about 30 miles. Maybe I can get laid.
I hope they have a sportsbook, but probably just idiot one arm bandits. dunno.
My brother and I are thinking of opening a pawnshop, but I don't feel like getting shot.

Actually, this is more of a corntown. Every decade or so, some freaking blizzard wipes out the livestock. Most have given up. The word "blizzard" was coined in the 1800's in Estherville Iowa. Titonka, down the road, is injun for Buffalo. We have Buffalo Center, Sioux Falls...ect. Spirit Lake Massacre...

I thought I was watching Daytona there for a second. Almost disaster.
I can't believe that horse broke down, recovered and won the damn race. Wow.
I have never seen a horse recover like that. After the stumble, it was like he was shot out of a cannon.
The Lemonade Stand goes bonkers! It's like the horse was running for that little girl. ^5

For those who don't know, Afleet Alex was named after a girl who has passed from childhood lukemia, that made a lemonade stand to raise money, a nickle at a time.
I swear that horse picked himself up and ran for her. I have never seen a horse recover like that.
Slap probably has the better read at the book, but I have watched races since Secretariat, and I have never seen a horse stumble like that and then shoot up 5 lengths in a matter of a few seconds. The damn horse took off like a cat chased by a dog!
I wouldn't rant about it but that is was one of the most remarkable performances I have ever seen. I doubt the time is that great, and the field isn't that strong, but usually, when a horse stumbles, it doesn't recover like that.
That horse had the entire pack on it's back, almost fell and threw the rider, then it just went hell bent....it lowered it's nose and drove. I have never seen a horse recover like that. He dug in like a tick and drove to the finish.
To take that much out of a horse in a stumble, and to have that much left in the tank is totally amazing to me. That is a Champion Horse.

I don't say that I'm an expert on horse racing, altho I actually was about 55 percent in Vegas.
I just have never seen a horse stumble like that and recover to win. I'm wondering if he is injured. Evidently, he's fine. The Derby winner ran with him, but kinda got locked up, and never really got a clean ride. There was alot of trash at the front.
Usually, your horse needs a clean ride, but this was a jockey mistake. He should of gone right whip, not left, and he pushed the horse right into disaster. It wasn't the horses fault. I just can't believe how it dug in and made up 5 lengths like a wildcat after almost throwing the rider.
