Bradlee Van Pelt was interviewed this afternoon on The Fan and the kid seems to have got better at hiding the brash nature we saw out of him from his collegiate days. But he certainly doesn't lack for confidence. Some points from the interview.

Says that he "will be a starting QB in the NFL someday, whether it's with the Broncos or someone else." Sounds as if it's not just him blowing hot air, he truly believes it.

At best he could see himself pushing for the #2 QB job this year, though he didn't sound quite as confident about that.

He's already been told that he'll play in 3 or 4 preseason games this time around as opposed to the cameo he got last year.

Feels like he's made great strides from where he was a year ago and that he's learning more and getting more comfortable every day.

I don't know, I never saw anything out of him on college that suggested he would ever be a pro QB. He's always had great athletic ability and I figured he'd be playing a different position in the NFL.

If nothing else, he's determined. It'll be interesting to see how he does when given some time in the preseason to work against someone other than Arizona's 3rd teamers.

Well he has 10 times the athletic ability of a Danny Kanell now he just has to master a pro offense and be an accurate passer. He wont beat out Danny this year but Mauck will. I think BVP should have been in Europe this spring. Nothing beats reps.

Thanks for that recap, CO.

That's not saying much either, but I def agree with on Mauck SoCal, I think he might have some potential in him.

I am still pleased that we have both Mauck and VanPelt. In the 2004 Draft I was calling for one of them to get drafted by us, and lo and behold, both of them got drafted. I expect Mauck to jump to #2 and BVP and Kanell to fight it out for #3. Ultimately I think BVP will get the #3 spot and the Broncos will carry 3 QB's. It will come down to how they perform on the field in exhibition games, and BVP is a gamer. That will shine through this August.

You are correct. And I hate CU, so I usually root for the Rams. However last time he played BYU, the Mullet made a bunch of rude, Jock-ish comments about Mormons. He's not high on my "character" list. Also, he sucks.

Just kidding. He was pretty brash in college, hopefully he's matured a little without losing that competitiveness.

Neither one of them will take an NFL snap. It's almost humorous.

Um.........be human? He's a punk. I hated him when I was neutral, and when I went to CU it just reinforced that belief.

That's the problem, why would you go to CU?
