Didn't make it to game 6. At least some team knows how to kick Tejas ass...

I guess this means that if there was an NHL season the Avs would have won the Cup once again. The front range has the NCAA hockey champions of '04 & '05 and the CHL champions of '05.

Congrats to the Eagles and Ralph Backstrom. Hopefully in a few years that franchise is in the AHL and developing the Avs' prospects. The CHL is small potatoes, but bigger things might be in store for Loveland/Windsor and their new hockey arena.

The Stars might contest that. Of course the Sabres might contest a skate in the crease...

Hey, it gave your Rockets good mojo. What else do you want?

To be fair, none of those "Stars" are from Texas, they just played here.

I thought I read somewhere that the Avs have already cut their connections with Hershey, with an eye to making Loveland their main farm club.

They did cut ties with Hershey. But they've signed a one year deal with a club in Massachusetts.

The Eagles are CHL which is like the minor minors... They are working make a bump up. If they can make the move into the AHL by the 06-07 season there will probably be more talk of that being the place the Avs send their developmental players. Right now they've traded away all their prospects anyway...
