Yeah, Keith Jackson saying his name was attention getting for sure.
The worst boating story was those 2 Indians pitchers over a decade ago. They were mangled at full speed. Tim Crews and who was the other guy??

I wondered what would become of the widow and orphan girls. Crews was an established player and prolly had lots of jack, but Olin was a newbie. Hope they had lots of insurance.
On a lighter note, back when Mrs Dog and I were dating, I took her up to Grand Lake where my stepgrandfather had had a cabin. (why we didn't hang onto that, is one one my regrets) Anyway, I rented a power boat to take her for a spin. Got back to the dock around dusk and was approaching the dock. The lady owner was standing on the dock. I stand up to get a better view of the slip, and my sleeve catches on the power handle things I go full forward. I can still recalll the look of horror on the lady's face when the stern dug down, and I started accellerating from like 20 feet right towards her. I went full astern and spun the wheel - like I knew what I was doing - did a 360 and came back in real slow.
I hadn't had a drink, but we went directly to the bar where Aunt Charlotte used to get sloshed. The "wagon wheel" or somehting, and drank some scotch. LOL

The Miami team that upset Nebraska in the Orange Bowl. Boy.... that narrows it down.
Still, kind of a bizarre and freaky way to go out. Let's be careful out there, people.

Technically it does Tred :) ...... the other three times Miami beat Nebraska they were heavily favored. This was the first (and maybe only?) time that NU was favored in a bowl game vs. Miami. The overall series is tied 5-5 and Miami leads in bowl games 4-2.
