Every year i make a few bold assertions in the offseason about what's going to happen in the reg season.
I made two last year, I predicted that KC would not be the main problem for Denver, and that Sandiego will be. No one believed me but i was right. On the other hand i also guessed that Denver would dominate the colts in the playoffs.... (yeah so i was .500)
Well Here's this year's bold assertions.
1.) The Minnesota Vikings will boast a top 12 defense next year. By the end of the year, Erasmus James will have won defensive ROY and the critics will be raving about Minnesota's future as contenders.
2.) On the other hand, the Oakland Raiders will finish the year again at the bottom of the AFC west. They will finish 6-10 starting out 4-2 and finishing the season in a slide. They will be tied in the series against Denver, winning the first match up and being blown out the second. Randy Moss will be injured during the slide at some point. The Critics will point the finger else where....
Every year? You haven't even been a member a year yet? Oct 2004 isn't the off-season.
If the Vikes can gel they'll be top 5 in the league.
Faiders are always the same.........

The Dude probably talks about this chit with his buddies. Football as well as predictions do not (surprisingly enough) begin and end with the Orangemane.
He seems reasonable enough.
Well I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night and I predict I now have the crabs.

I predicted the 1980 US Olympic hockey team would beat the Soviets 4-3 at Lake Placid. That was no miracle, Al Michaels. Biff Tannen gave me a tip on that one.

About my cat, He is fine now after getting into it with a Rotty....
I took off his flea collar thinking he might like it, and he want T.O. on me, all pissed off like I stole his bling bling.
Then I spun his crib. He's got this super nice wicker basket he crashes in lined by some super nice baby blanket. He went ape shiat on me. I had to put his collar back on and spin back perfect before he would even talk to me.
This is a kitten that ran in front of my car at the farm, blind with his eyes glued shut. Now he thinks he's a Pharoh. No big deal, but do you think I might be spoiling him to much? Do they have inter-species marriages in Iowa?
Sometimes I feel like I'm just there to yank his string around and open his tin cans. I feel so used.

I predict that a lot of fans in Cleveland will be rooting against the Broncos and that some of them will even show up here to taunt us when the Broncos lose. Just as some of us will go to Browns boards and taunt them if guys like Warren & Brown do well.
I also predict that cheers will go up on this board whenever the Redskins lose.
I predict that the Chiefs fans will continue with their never ending but irrational optimism, except for Bob, who is obviously bipolar.

IF, IF, Den goes deep in the playoffs with Myers and Big Ass playing well, we might kill that franchise off this time for good. (-:

Easy there Heavy. Like Pendejo said the guy was probably talking about all his years of being a Broncos fan. Alot of us have been predicting stuff since the 70's and 80's. Hell I'd bet there are a few fans around here who have been bsing Broncos since the beginning.
Registration date IMO means nothing about the quality of someones posts.

After all, OF1 is still entering her second year in the NFL. Yeah, she spent some time in the Jersey Turnpike League, but still has legs and can catch anyone.

Meck77, sometime it would be kinda funny. (in my demented mind) to see how many fans you could pack into that giant tin can.
I know it might damage the goods, but still, it would make a hell of a photo shoot. My guess is around 93, the current roster. That would be really cool, to get the whole team on the bus for a photo.

You could have Meck, or Elway, or even Der Teflonahan at the wheel. A few PS players hanging out of the luggage bins next to the generator.

Let's put it this way. If beezle would have seen the amount of hair balls that came from underneath the floors/vents of the bus your poor cat would have died choking on the spot. There was just piles of hair, combs, change etc we found. ugh!~
As far as the number of people Mock I'd say we've probably peaked out at 40 during one of the tailgates. If I took the sofas out (which we can) I think we could easily stand up 93 people especially if we opened up all the windows.

What, no used condoms?
That bus was thinking to itself: He I am in purgutory, will I be crushed or will...well, I'm gonna get crushed...
I always see the bus as some sort of reincarnation. Like a cartoon with a happy face.
She's smiling more than she ever had before. The bus is like a woman. She's high maintainance, but worth it.

Beezlebub might of choked from the filth, but nothing can take him away from his god given duty as a mouser. I picked him out of a herd that prowl out at the farm because his eyes were glued shut, he was a runt. Now he's living big and thinks he is Pharoh.

I predict that Denver will start off fast, just like every year except one since they won their last Superbowl. By week 5 everyone will be saying that Shannahan still has it and the additions to positions X, Y, and/or Z have obviously panned out and the Broncos will be one of the early favorites to go to The Show. Jake Plummer will be directing the offense like John Elway incarnate, and whoever Denver's starting RB is will look unstoppable.
But right around week 6 a loss will occur and everyone will say, "You can't win 'em all". Then another loss and suddenly the wheels will begin to look wobbly. By week 12 the car's sputtering, the steering's shaky, and black smoke is pouring out of the exhaust pipe. Due to the speed gained early on, the wreck might have enough momentum to get into the wildcard round, but once there the engine will finally ignite and explode on the side of road while eyes are getting poked out by a massive proliferation of finger pointing.

Now hold on, I never said i made the assertions on this board!
I was posting on the denver broncos team messageboard for a while, i left because of the troll population and lack of decent football knowledge.
I called it a bold assertion because i feared back lash for saying that Randy Moss's trade would have the reverse effect but i guess i should've known better since this is a Bronco forum.
BTW, how can i lock/delete/edit this thread? cause its going to burn anyways...

Relax Chilly Willy. You started the thread with no ill intentions...these things just take on a life of their own. You never truly know where anything will lead here on the 'Mane. Not with this cast of characters anyway.
You've bought your ticket...as it were...just sit back and enjoy the ride.
Fun stuff happens on threads just like these. It doesn't matter if it's what you intended. It's fun.
