Darrent Williams and plenty of other corners not to mention our new UDFA acquisition. Great, I love it. We're stacked at corner with a little room under the cap for MAYBE another vet after June 1st. The only problems we had last year were DL and lack of depth at corner. Now we can watch them all hammer away in mini camps and find out who makes the roster and then cut the rest and have more cap room. Sounds good to me so why are some down on our draft? Should we have expected Carlos Rogers or Thomas Davis to slide into the second?

Corner back- no one expects Darrent Williams to start this year. Champ and Lenny should hold it down with Willie playing nickel and maybe living up to his draft pedigree finally. Now we have our dime and quarter corners with good size (except williams) and speed and athleticism. Hell Darrent might make an immediate impact at Dime/Quarter immediately by beating out Roc or Shoate or whoever. The point is who cares? Someone is going to step and play at a high level out of the guys we pulled. Our depth issue is now a strength... just the DL.

Mo C- a couple years learning the system, getting back into football shape and learning humility and being a team player from guys like Al Wilson and John Lynch should make him a great spell back or even a feature starter. We're the best at drafting RBs (the best EVER in fact), so why second guess something we've had such a phenomenal track record on?

And the same goes for the offensive line... we missed Baas and my guy Mathis but like I said before... we could cut our starters and place a womens synchronized swim team on the line and I wouldn't question it until they start playing badly.

Final review... we had the #5 offense last season and I think Tatum will bring a lot of strength next year along with the progression of guys like Jeb Putzier, Ashley Lelie, George Foster, Cooper Carlisle, Darius Watts and maybe some younger recievers (triandos luke and co) getting more playing time. Our D was #4 (#1 at one point) and yes we lost Reggie and Kennedy but Ferguson has been a starter, our DL could be incredible barring a catastrophic string of injuries, our linebackers should be the best in the league and we're stocked at corner.

I'm getting my plane tickets to Detroit for early Feb now. See you guys there.
