no reason to fire him......his two superbowls in a row grant him immunity from getting fired.......he will step down when he is ready....drafts like these hasten his demise though.

anyway, no reason to fire him, he's a great coach, but horrible personnel evaluator.....but again...we have to win a playoff game this year.

I don't think anyone wants him fired... I'd rather see someone else in charge of the draft... you know, someone whose sole responsibilty would be to manage players... think of this person as a kind of "G.M."

Having said that, look at what Green Bay did in Ted Thompson's first year... every pick after Rodgers was questionable at best. I would really like to see a personnel guy in Denver next year though. Badly.

People are just pacing themselves. They wasted all their Jake Plummer smack in like, a month.. They need something to say during the season, so they're saving the Shanny smack for around October..

..and those wouldve been just as stupid as the "plummer sucks" threads that were so rampant amongst our intellectually challenged members.

it was actually a very GOOD draft.
a corner that can play THIS season and MAYBE even excel on special teams. two others that may eventually turn into players.
clarett isnt the antichrist. he's just a fallen angel :)
hey, i didnt much care for the kid either, and he sure didnt impress the scouts, but guess what?

we werent going to get an impact player there anyway, so we took a chance on a kid who COULD end up being a good player.
COULD end up being a very good player.
its a chance, and maybe a big chance, but you know what?
anyone else we picked wouldve rode pine for SURE, so why not take the chance.
then, we get the offensive guard we were looking for.
a player? well, who knows? its another body to compete for a spot on the line.
we took care of some needs, namely in the secondary, and we got a runner who COULD turn into a good player at the expense of a player (at any other position) tha wouldve rode the pine for sure.

considering the number and position of our picks, i say nice job.
its a good year to be a bronco fan.
you'll see.

Me, I'm waiting to see... if it's a 1-4 start, then I'm going to be all for his ass to get canned.

Clarett is young and made some poor choices as a freshman in college. We as bronco fans, should collectively move on and give this guy a warm welcome. The dude went through living hell in order to get to this position. I for one is looking forward to see him on the field in bronco uniform.

Just remember Jake. You can take the kid outta the hood, but you can't take the hood outta the kid. He's got ties in some really shady going on's in Youngstown Ohio.

Yet at the same time if was was drafted by.....oh say Oakland, KC, or San Diego many Broncos fans/poster would be laughing their collective asses off at those teams.

Sorry I can't "Homer Up" over this kid. Maybe it's cuase I'm close to the situation and have heard to many of his excuses.

Is youngstown a rough hood or something?

Never heard of it.

I don't know if we will win the division but we'll be competitive. If we can spring for the division this year we are going to open up a run over the next few years with our picks next year.

I can understand "Fire Shanahan" posts after a bad season. How anyone can call for it a few hours after a draft ends is beyond me. That some people on here think they know how a player is going to pan out moments after they're drafted is hilarious to me. I guess Spider that we don't have as many Prophets as we did last season.

Just like we won it last season, errrrrrrrrrrrrrr I mean the season before that, I mean the season before that.............. You get the idea.

mark my words.... WE WILL NOT WIN THE DIVISION, With no injuries we are 10-6 with a few breaks, 9-7 with no breaks and 8-8 with some bad breaks.

Besides being a homer..... What makes you sure of it?

I would like more specifics implications before "shady" going on's means anything to me. Do you mean he hangs out with Slim Shady? Is he a dead beat dad? Did he rip off some mattress tags? Nobody is saying anything credible. All hates are just hating. Until he makes a mistake in the press, in his private life or otherwise let him play.

I am pretty sure with this much media speculation either he is really good at being bad or it's exaggerated or it's actually in his past. If it is anywhere near what you are implying he will be caught. It's just a matter of time.

The fans are upset? Think about it this way. If Bell does good but Clarett does great they will call Bell a bust. If Clarett does bad and Bell does good they will call Shanny a fool. Either way Shanny is going to take heat on this deal whether it's from the league, player, or short sighted fans. I admire his balls for giving it a try. He's the coach. When did he surrender the right to see how a player will do with a freebie pick?

That's kind of what I was thinking. When I think of the roughest hoods in America, Youngstown doesn't immediately come to mind... LOL
