I knew that would get your attention
I am getting sick of all of this critisism. Let's take a look at each of these picks logically.
2) Williams. The pick was said to be a CB, bet really, we all know that he was picked as a return man. That was considered by Shany to be the top need and he got who was considered by him to be the best guy. Why pass on the best guy at a position, hoping he will be there in 20 picks or so. Who doesn't want a guy who will help the team immediately. He will touch the ball at least 5 times a game. Once or twice (hopefully not many more) on kickoffs, and 3+ times on punts. what rookie WR was going to get that many touches?
3)a, and b, we lost one cornerback, and the others have proven to be either been injury prone or unable to stop anybody. If Lenny Walls does have a good year, theres no way we can afford to keep both him and Bailey. With 10+ guys getting picked in the first day, theres no way they would have stayed around until the 6th round. if we'd waited until then, we sure could have gotten some good CBs with linebacker speed. all of these guys were sub 4.4 times.
3)c Claurett. How can anybody question the Broncos pick at RB, I mean really. If you watched any football in the last 8 years, you would know better than that. And saying he was too early, there are a few teams that would have snatched him from under our nose if we'd given them the chance for sure. (IE Dallas in the 4th)

Let's rock

My response? JUSTIN MILLER-CB-CLEMSON. Top 4 or 5 CB on the board MUCH BETTER VALUE and RETURNS KICKS AS WELL! Ok, so Williams is faster--so the hell what? Is Mike just looking for speed? Didn't that Chris Cole reach teach him a thing or two? Guess not. How about Chris Watson? Sad.

Sub 4.4 times huh? That makes them a football player or a track star? Not one of these 3 CB's had a 2nd round grade. Justin did (actually late first). Face it....you read these comments on these and they are SCHOATE and LASEWER WARMED OVER!!!! We have needs other places...OG is primary! It all starts in the trenches.

Turner is a genius. This pick will either be egg on his face or confirm that he is now deity. There has been no confirmation on that Parcells rumor. I respect Parcells mightily and if true--maybe not so bad. I still think this is a reach with better talent on the board at the pick. Not just at RB either. Still haven't looked at OG, maybe a pass rush specialist somewhere--always a need with us, our punter sucks, I don't know--we need HELP! Was this pick the right one....Far be it from me to doubt Turner but I'm in the skeptical camp until proven otherwise.

I can't believe anybody expected anything aout of this draft from where we were drafting. I like what we did... We got a couple of cornerback projects, and a one cut and hit the hole runner that fits our offense. More importantly, I like that we got the hell out of the first round and picked up an extra pick for next season, where the *REAL* talent is. Nothing we were going to get in the positions we were drafting from was going to do us much help this season. I'm not sure where everybody else's expectations were, but mine were pretty damned low to begin with.

Well, it's easy to maintain low expectations when you're watching Shanny draft. But the fact is, other teams--notably N.E. and Balt--consistently find solid rookie contributors and rookie starters in the drafts, despite their draft position. We do not. Shanny drafts as if this is a SB-caliber club, and we are anything but. Three dupe CBs and a head case RB on the first day is absurd. His picks show no connection to this team's needs. He is living in his fantasy-land of "we are one or two players" from the SB.
Here's the bottom line: We did not improve from this draft. Every other team in our division improved from this draft. Are you expecting some miracle to occur, to somehow make it all better?
