Knowing that the road through the AFC West will go through KC is a great reason to trade your 2005 draft away.

I have come to the realization that "The Plan" has likely always been to plan for next year. Cuz you obviously arent going anywhere this year. I see the logic there, but it's somewhat gutless on the part of the Denver Broncos organization. I would probably still try to win this year.

Makes it tough on the season ticket holders though, for sure.

Oh for f!ck's sake here we go. It's just like here in DC, the Skins are SB champs every April, but come August they're crying the blues about next year. This is the fate of KC Chorfs.

The only reason he is considered as good as he is is because MIami had a kick ass D-line all those years that allowed him to make plays, that and Sam Madison on the other side of the field kinda helped.

8 years? Who cares what he's done in 8 years... It's the last two years that the guy fell off... Mostly because he's so slow and can't get to the tackle quick enough... Here's a DB who used to be good for 80 tackles a season... This last season, he registered 52. The guy is an improvement over what you had, but that improvement is so marginal that it's barely worth mentioning....

Of course, those pathetic 52 tackles beats the 6 that Kendrell Bell had last season... A linebacker in his fifth year who is already failing physicals for arthritic shoulders!? ROFL! What an improvement!

Patrick Surtain is the only move of consequence that you've made to improve your defense, and the best part about it is that Eric Warfield is going to get thrown on more... So how is that such a fantastic improvement?

Um...Knight had 98 tackles and 4 interceptions last year. Pretty much on par for most of his career. He hasn't fallen off at all. If you're going by SOLO tackles, yes he had 52, but that's more than your beloved John Lynch had.

Kendrell Bell failed the GIANTS physical, not ours. His injuries were mostly related to off-the-field issues anyway.

Eric Warfield's going to have his best season as a pro in 2005. Why? He's not going to be covering #1 WRs anymore.

If we kept Tony Gonzalez and LJ and drafted a stud WR that would be MORE than enough to build an offense around. Tony G is only 28.

Not as a rookie.

Hicks got 14 sacks one year because pretty much everyone else on the D-line had a career year that season. The Chiefs D had 50 something sacks that year.

And to be fair Hicks had 9 sacks under GROB one year as well, so he's not all that bad.

Putting pressure on the quarterback was never a problem with the GROB defense... Fundamentals like tackling were.

Listen. KC sucks. They are overated as hell every year. The only reason they won the division two years ago and gave anybody any hope was because of three blatant clip blocks. Had the Ref's not had blinders on, KC would be the perenial doormatt for the Broncos, Chargers and Raiders every year instead of 5 out of the last 6 years.

Sad but true.

Well atleast we didn't drive down the field take a timeout on the 1 yard line to score a TD when we where down by 20 points, but whatever floats your boat! The score of that game should have been 45 to 20 but hey you guys sure showed us!
yeah i knowe. the chiefs were everyone's bitch last year. have an offense who needs a boost? put the chiefs on your schedule. they only got mildly decent near the end of the season. but damn, i could prolly score a couple of rushing TDs against your defense.

Well I wish we would have went into hurry up O when the game was over just to make the score look better but what can you do.

45-17

29 is hardly "aging."

It's funny what number combinations get the Chef fans all warm and fuzzy.

9-7 seems a bit more relevent "overall".
