Although I'm a Spurs fan, I dont want to see the Nuggs in the first round, the league's hottest team, 24-2, in their last 26 games and the most dangerous team entering the playoffs. Karl should get a few votes for NBA Coach of the year. Its amazing that through the first 20 games this year, the Nuggs were the league's most dissappointing team and now they are the complete opposite.
For those that remember back to the 92-93 NBA Season, the Rockets started that season with a struggle, then they fired Don Chaney and promoted Rudy T as coach and they ran off an incredible streak to make the playoffs. Although they lost to Sonics in the WC Semis that year in 7 games, that run was a steppingstone for the year after, whey they began their back-to-back reign.
Although Karl came in from out of the blue, this reminds me of that situation w/ a team that could be on the verge of greatness.
But anyhoot, I want the Spurs to see the Rockets instead of Denver. GO NUGGS on Saturday nite!!!!

It's on ESPN, and sparkling ESPN HD for anybody who doesn't get Altitude and can't get games regularly.

ESPN is still sucking LeBrownhole's nutsack.
Meanwhile, K-Mart and Mello are making a run.
I love the idiot Steven A. Smith. This clown hasn't even mentioned the Nuggets once.
He even steps out of his crib and starts yapping about T.O.
The guy is literally out of control.

Steven A. is the biggest asshole in the history of sports quite honestly.
I couldn't even begin to replicate his takes. All you can really do is drop your jaw with that moron.
First, the idiot doesn't have a clue, he's been picking Cleveland and Los Angeles all year. He hates the owners like a cotton picker, and has managed to squeeze himself into ESPN like that guy from the NY Times.
He's probably the most irresponsible hack on TV right now, next to Woody. But at leas Woody knows he's a comedian.
This guy ASSERTS his OPINON...He's like this:
When PEEHOLE took the mound, everyone was BIASED...going into the stands was ACCEPTABLE. Let me MIND YOU, this has BEEN DONE BEFORE...This is a TRAVESTY...we MUST AQUIT YOU RACIST BASTARDS...
I have never before seen such an asshole in my life next to Charles Barkley.

hello fellow nuggets fans.
what an amazing run.
so many kept waiting for it to end, and it never did.
now lets hope it never does.
what a magical second half of the season.
i still cant help but think where we'd be if we couldve just played DECENT in the first half, but whats done is done.
at this point, we're looking at possibly having the best post allstar game record in the HISTORY of the league.
pretty amazing.
already, im thinking this team may just be the best nuggets team ever.
if theyre not, theyre close.
theyre surely the best nuggets team ever on the road.
a nuggets team has NEVER before won 20 on the road, and we're at 18 now, with two left.
not long ago, people wondered if they could make the playoffs. now, people around town are talking nba finals, and theyre NOT crazy.
we've gone from the outside looking in, to being a game back of the FIVE seed. amazing. truly amazing.
we have the coach of the year (despite only coaching 40 games), the sixth man of the year (gotta love little earl), the defensive player of the year (camby is the most under appreciated player in the league), and a TEAM of guys who play TOGETHER, which we havent seen in denver since the days of fat lever, tr dunn, calvin natt, and the great alex english.
it concerns me that the boys will have to play all theyre playoff series without homecourt, but if any team can do it, these guys can.
i believe.
GO NUGGETS!!

Hometown might have something to do with it, considering I live in Cleveland. But hey, just one man's opinion if I'm annoying, I'm sure there are a lot of others that think the same, but a lot of others that don't feel as if I'm annoying as well.

If I was from Denver I might like the nuggets. I'm actually a Jazz fan because I grew up in Utah and that's how I became a bronco fan. The Jazz suck and I live in AZ and I don't really root for the Suns I think that they will beat the Nuggets. If you can't take the heat get out of the kitchen. Frankly I don't like the NBA when it comes down to it.

I'll just put it this way, I grew up in Richfield Coliseum watching the Cavs, my dad is all about Cleveland teams but the one team he did impose on me were the Cavs. We went to at least 10 games a season, went to their playoff games(Yes I was there sitting a couple rows away from the court when Jordan made the shot over Ehlo among the other heartbreaks), it seemed that every weekend was a routine drive with my dad down to Richfield to watch them play.
I had a choice to like the Denver Broncos, but my NBA team was already made up for me well before I even had a chance to pick one.

What i would like to see, San Antonio taking seed #1, and nuggets playing suns in first round, Rockets playing Sonics and Spurs playing the Big Ticket sneaking in at the 8th spot.
I am a Rox fan, so i wouldnt want them playing the Spurs who will have little trouble crushing any western conference team. I would however love to see the nuggets show that they do exactly what the Suns do just as well and shut all those people up who seem to think that the Suns are the advent of fastbreak basket ball.

Here are a few for you:
Q: Why are there 2 teams from Michigan in the Big ten?
A: There was so much crap in Ann Arbor they had to start another pile.
-
Q: What are the three hardest years in the life of a Michigan Wolverine fan? A: Second Grade.
-
Q: What do you get when you breed a pig with a Michigan fan?
A: There are some things even pigs won't do.
-
Q: Why do the University of Michigan grads hang their diplomas from the rearview mirror?
A: So they can park in the handicapped spaces.

We're really missing Marcus 2-nite. We were up by 14 in 1st quarter now down 64-52 early in the 2nd. Mutumbo destroyed the Nugs in the 2nd period with Houston outscoring us 32-15 after Denver led 34-24 after 1. Long way to go but not looking too good at the moment. Nothing you can say about this game that wouldn't sound like sour grapes. Nonetheless, Mutombo looked good because he just stood there on D. The refs called three illegal D on them in the first half and stopped. There should have been more called in teh second and third Quarters. Ming did not look that great, although he was able to just stand there and wait for the play to come to him. All they played was zone. The Rackets got hot on three,'s but they were at the point where they could afford to shoot them because Ming and Mutombo were not getting called for the pushes. BUT THEN, that is also playoff Basketball.
As I said before, when Melo gets the respect, then he will get those fould called when he drives, just like Adrian Dantley did. To be blunt, the fouls were not called after the first Quarter against the Rackets. And the Nuggets did nto play well after the first. Not sure why. They did not hit baskets, and they did not attempt many threes.
I hope they will get after the Suns and them beat the holy Ned outta Portland. 7th is fine. Someone once said you gotta start somewhere, and it might as well be agaisnt the 2nd seed team.

Its been a good year and you have much to look forward to, several more one and done years, before slipping back off into NBA obscurity and the laughing stock of the league.
You're basing Denver's playoff hopes on that on 1 game Alec. What happened on the following dates??
Sat 12 March at San Antonio W 90-87
Fri 1 April San Antonio W 102-84
Most Nugget fans are just happy to be in the playoffs after that piss poor start to the season. George Karl has been a godsend and no-one can deny that the team's change in fortunes has been the biggest news in the NBA this season, even ESPN had them at the top of the rankings this week which was obviously a scud that and the injury to Marcus Camby. It'll be interesting to see if your so mouthy if Denver can produce a miracle to get by San Antonio and face the Rockets again with all their starters!! Maybe next time they wont let a 14 point lead slip when they have a true defender on the court!!

Yep, the Nuggets beat the Spurs those two games. Congratulations! However, beating the Spurs in the regular season is a far cry from beating those same playoff tested Spurs in the playoffs.
George Karl rightly deserves NBA Coach of the Year for the job he has done with the Nuggets, I won't deny that, but face it, they are playing way over their heads right now and one and done is the ultimate doom for them in the playoffs. As for adding in ESPN fodder rankings to back up your theory, big freakin deal.
If there is one thing you should know by now eddie, is that whatever happens I will be "mouthy". Yes, Camby couldhave helped Denver against Houston, but not enough to overcome the asswhoopin they just had. T-Mac is unstoppable and even if you do slow him down then you have to worry about Yao and apparently Mutombo when Yao is sitting down (though, I never would have believed it if I hadnt seen him playing this year).
Denver doesnt have the tools to make it far, period. They are fun to watch right now, especially since they started out so disappointing and how they have turned it around, but when push comes to shove, Denver will get pushed and San Antonio will do the shoving.

I don't think anybody feasibly thinks the Nuggets will go far this year... If they can get to the 6th spot, they could beat Seattle, but they're not beating Duncan and Co. Period.
However, I will point to the TWolves. They lost in the first round 7 straight years before breaking through last year. Now I know, the TWolves haven't won anything yet, but my point is, for the Nuggets, this is a work in progress, and there are a lot of young pieces in place right now. If we get a decent SG, the sky is the limit for these guys.

Jazz didn't have the team in the early mid 90's. The only time that had a legit shot was 97 and 98. Rockets were a superior team along with the Bulls. No excuses they just were beat by better teams plain and simple.
If they didn't have a team in the early mid 90's it's odd they made it to the NBA Finals in 1994 isn't it? And in 1995 it was the Jazz and the Spurs all the media were predicting to be the last two teams standing when Houston won again.
Nuggz4 -- I know you patiently explain over and over there is no explanation for Jazz fans, but for some reason, I just can't get it....

Your the one making excuses I'm not. It's obvious that the Jazz didn't have the teams in the mid 90's because the Rockets beat the Jazz both years. I already said that the rockets were a SUPERIOR team. Olajuwon was the best player in the league and Jazz had no one to guard him. Larry Millers inability to spend money on a decent Center instead of oafs like Eaton and OsterF#@K cost them anychance at a title. If I remember right the media didn't pick spurs and Jazz to be last team standing because the Jazz beat the spurs in second round and lost to rockets in finals. You keep making excuses for the Jazz and I'll keep my take that the Jazz ran into two BETTER teams in the Rockets and Bulls. Barkley and the suns had same thing happen to then along with the sonics. I don't understand Nugget fans except that they only show up when the team is good. Jazz had a good run and it's over and will be for awhile. 84-03 is a good streatch to make playoffs.

Yeah, So far I'm still tricking them into paying me...
But let me recount conversation with Jazz fan.

Excuse for team - Jordan era.
Me
Houston took advantage of opportunity during Jordan era.
Jazz Fan
Thinks I didn't notice Jordan played baseball while Rockets won.
Me
Thought that was evident by posting Houston took advantage of the opportunity - meaning the opening was there for the Jazz but they didn't take it.
Jazz Fan
Says Jazz didn't have a team in the early mid 90's. Not until 97-98
Me
Pointed out Rockets beat the Jazz in the Finals in 1994. Jazz picked to win it all in 1995. (Maybe I don't understand what early mid 90's means, but being in the finals seems to indicate they had a team).
Jazz Fan
Tells me I'm making excuses.
Me
NUG4 IS RIGHT! Just dis-engage and walk away....

When you find where I say Jazz didn't lose to the SUPERIOR team tell me. I never made excuses. You just keep your hopes up and the Nuggets do have a good young team but they aren't going to do much this year. I think DUrhymesayer is the only logical Nug fan posting here. I hope they draw SA or PHX.
