Kaylore, PM me if you don't mind nosebleeds. It's looking more and more like I won't be able to make this game since it's on XMas eve and I'm 400 miles away. My seats are in section 510 around the 30 yard line. I might be able to hook you up.

btw - I'm looking to buy 6 more seats, in addition to the 4 I already have so I can take the whole family for Christmas Eve... I've been watching ebay, etc.. but thought I would check this board as well.
We'll be doing a family tradition of Bonnie Brae Ice Cream - but instead of doing it at the store we'll be relocating the tradition this year to Lot R.

I'll pass on those Crusher. The people I was looking to help get ticket for can't make it. They are up for grabs!
People will be scrambling for Raider tix come december I can promise you that. This is a prime example as to why it's good to check out what goes on in the tailgate forum.....

I'll be in 121, row 16. Only my second game at the new stadium. Last year at the Colts game I was in the nose bleeds, so needless to say i'm excited this year. And maybe I can convince my brothers to stop by OF1 :welcome:

We have some amusing pictures of the fire department putting out our fire last year at the final game after they made us dump it from the fire pit with steel mesh protective cover into a 55 gallon trash can - which of course only made more fire. It was funny because we did what they asked.
We did have some fires in previous years and frankly I didn't know it was an issue until that game last year. I guess now I know...
Meck77

I was joking about the fire permit bro. Lot C's rules fluctuated from cold game to cold game last year. One game we'd have security warming there hands in our fire pit next week we'd be told one more fire and we would be kicked out.
Rules point blank now is no wood burning. We know the rules and security is off our back now.

I'm tellin you...we are spread out all over the world! I work with the military here. There are a few guys I know that are coming to this game. I have been here seven years. But I am really tired of watching Sunday afternoon games at 2 or 6 a.m. on a Monday morning (time difference). Makes for a rough Monday. I am stoked to see this game...
I've got season tix but a friend mentioned today that he wanted to take his 7 y.o. son to his very first Broncos' game ... on 12/24 against the Raiders.
If anyone has a pair to spare, PM me, please. My seats are in section 321, so if anyone has something close to that, that's even better :)

Just incase you started to hate the Raiders less because they suck I want you to see this clip. If this doesn't get you pumped up for this game then I'm afraid you just aren't a Broncos fan.
This is badass. http://www.youtube.com/watch.php?v=Kzu5Cxh1Ldk&search=NFL
What's even funnier is that the clip's so old. Anthony Miller old ... that's how far they had to go back to find a time when the Raiders could actually "dominate" the Broncos ;)

Should be in Denver for the Raiders game.
What my best option for tickets?
Should I buy on site from a "scalper" or should I use an official broker on the web?
Since I am driving from Montreal Canada (leaving on the 21st) it's not 100%
sure that I will be there on that day because of the weather. That's why I would prefer to buy on site?

eBay or buy them from a scalper on Federal Blvd. Hold out for a while as prices often come down as the time creeps towards kickoff. Be patient. Those who aren't patient are the ones you see at the game missing an arm and a leg.

Ok OManer's - we worked hard all year and finally won a Most Valuable Tailgater award yesterday, so.... The Tailgate Titans will be on the MVT Pad for the Raider game. It's a short hop, skip, and a jump from the Mane tailgate at spot 031 and overlooks the player parking lot. So, you can all feel free to stop on by and make sure you introduce yourself to me so I can put a face to the screen name. I'll be wearing my #7 Jersey with ARCHI for the name.
Look forward to seeing you all as we clinch #2 seed (well I can hope anyway)...

Congrats Chrisar on the MVT win! My girlfriend and I had a blast. Thanks for the hospitality. We saw you on the big screen during the game. Awesome!!! Look forward to stopping by again at the next game at the MVT Pad. Will also have to stop by OF1 for a beer bong. Sweet! 12thman and I are thinking about trying to park in the C lot for this game if we can get there early enough to get a cash spot. Anyone have any ideas how early we would need to arrive? The Broncos website says that they start selling tailgating spots at 8am and the spots sell out quickly. Would love to be there in the thick of it for this game. Have to get prepared as the playoffs loom and I need to be in prime tailgating shape.

Here is the deal with Lot C parking to the best of my knowledge. There is somewhere between 40-50 cash spots available in lot C. They are on a first come first serve basis. I've seen people not be able to get in there as early as 8:30am. My suggestion. If you want in lot C get there @ 8:00am to claim your ground.
BTW...I just placed the call to order the 16 person mobile hot tub for this tailgate. The Broncos were nice enough to give us the go ahead.
Space will be somewhat limited in the tub but preference will be given to Bronco ladies in orange bikinis.

Jon Applegate who runs parking basically confirmed this info. He said for the Ravens game they sold spots until 10:30 but for the Eagles, Pats, and Chiefs they were sold out in 30 minutes. So - best bet is to get there at or before 8AM. This is a hard game to read. It's the Raiders so... but it's Christmas Eve so.... could go either way.

How close does the water need to be? Does he have to fill it on-site?
Meck77
12-19-2005, 03:08 PM
Well he said he can drive it in partially full but will have to top it off nearby. I had a plan to fill it all up real close by but that option wasn't available like I thought it would be.
Ideally we'd fill up real close by the night before and have it hot and ready to go before we pull in if it's close enough. Otherwise we have to top if off nearby and lose a little hot tub time while the rest of the water heats up. Either way the tub will be cranking all day til way past gametime!
If anyone has some connections to a business nearby or someone that lives real close let me know. I might ask the Broncos if we can't come up with another option but I dont want to put them in that position if we can avoid it.
Another option is the bus water tank. It holds atleast 100 gallons or so but it comes out real slow. Either way cold water would be coming out of the bus and would take awhile as the water pump is not high capacity.

There's the Red Lion hotel, Comcast, several businesses up on Federal (like perhaps a deal with the owner/manager of Burger King). But - I would imagine he would have to fill it right there - other wise any thing other then a flat driving surface will just dump water out.
Maybe we could get the fire department to use a pumper truck to fill it :).. They used one to put the fire out in the hot coals barrel last year after telling me to put the fire into the hot coals barrel in the first place.
Anyone needing a pair of tix to the Raiders' game this Saturday? I've got an extra pair in section 231 (south stands). $160 for the pair. PM me, if you are interested.

I got this email from the guy renting the tub the other day! We have to find a source of water near the stadium though. This could be a challenge but we'll figure it out.
I doubt the Bronocs are in the business of giving water for hotubs to tailgaters.Ha! They were nice enough to give us permission to do this though so that's good news.
Meck - Nice work on getting it done. Work, kids and Christmas has taken me out of the loop for awhile. The tub on our bus will be hit or miss for this weekend. Dan has been skiing and I have been making Christmas $. We are suppose to do one final build this week to try and complete the hot tub install. Or maybe we will just sit around and drink beer :alky:
Here is the tip for your water issue that I got from another fan from a crappy city in the NE where they had a tea party along time ago. Fill the tub the night before. Then, simply put some of the 3" wide weather stripping used for garage door bottoms (source Home Depot, Lowes, etc.) around the edge where the cover meets the tub. Then put some 3/4" ply on top of the cover so it doesnt bend/break. Then crank down with motorcycle ratchet tie down straps. Supposedly some water will come out, but you will be left with enough water for the lovely ladies to frolick in. Make sure to preheat the water. It normally takes about 8 hours for my tub to get to the point you would want to get in. I didn't acutally field test the method above, so YMMV.
We gave our seats to Dan's kids so we can do the Santa thing at home with the little ones. We won't be there, but Dan and the bus will.
Rock the house and go Broncos!

Ok just found out the jacuzzi pump/heaters require a 220 power source. OF1 has a monster of a generator but we never counted on needing 220 power to run a hot tub...lol We tried to add as many features as we could but this wasn't one of them. I put a call into DenverTucsonLink (leader of the bus project). He said he could add it but he's in Tucson right now finishing up another bus.
Anybody have a 5000 watt 220 generator laying around? Didn't think so. We arranged to rent one and have it on hold.
Still working on the water issue. We'll get it done somehow. Ron the hot tub guy said he could mobilize the 8 person tub with enough water but I'd like to see the 16 person unit in the lot instead. Go big or go home is OF1's motto.
Weather is supposed to be around 50 degrees so it will bea nice day to get a good soak without freezing our tails off while slipping out to grab a cold beer.
Hmm....we might need to add some bar service. ;)
**********With all this tub talk we haven't hammered out a menu****
Any ideas? Seems like we've covered alot of things by now....Sassy I'm grabbing your Tailgate Recipe book you made us.
BTW...sassy made the tailgate a special book with all your recipes in it with various pictures from tailgates. It's really cool. We're going to keep it on the bus. I can't even imagine how much time you put into it.
Thanks so much Sassy....You rule!

Yeah no kidding. I might pack a couple lounge chairs out if that is the case. Might even be able to get a tan out there Saturday!
Ok the 16 person tub is all dialed in. Thanks to those who pmed with water options. The hot tub guy hooked us up. He has a friend that lives nearby that he's going to use his power and water. He'll drop the tub off there friday night and heat it up overnight. He said it's close enough to where he said he could drive it with 500 gallons into the tailgate lot. We'll use the bus water tank to add another 100 gallons in when we arrive and that water will heat up pretty quick he said.
So what we are bringing to the tailgate:
1) Bus -OF1
2) 16 person tub hot and ready to roll!
3) 1 5,000 watt 220 generator
4) About 130 beers
We're cleaning out the freezer and this is what we have in it.
- 12 Burgers
-8 Brats
-20 large sausage
-1 small rack of ribs
-Random bags of chips
-Some soda
So feel free to bring anything you'd like to add to the grill, side dishes, beer etc that might compliment what we have.
Bring your bathing suit/Raider hater shirts and hot ladies if you got em! If you don't have 1 lined up you got about 72 hours to make it happen!f
Hot tub/Raider Hater party starts at 8:00am and goes til well after the game!

23 hours to go! I went to the party store and picked up a couple grass hola skirts and other Hawaii type effects to decorate with. I figure either one of the ladies who doesn't want to get in the tub could wear it or we'll stick it on big ole Billy Crush.Ha! (He's the big fat dude who paints himself and doesn't wear a shirt). I'm sure you've seen a pic or two. With as nice as the weather as supposed to be we mine as well pretend were sitting on the beach in Hawaii!

Billy Crush is a pretty funny dude. I think he was the one I celebrating the Bronco/chefs game with after the game. We did a chest bump thing and that belly almost knocked little old Hotrod on his can Ha!

no rubber duckies, but i DO have a little raiders stocking.
it was pretty funny actually.
i bought a bronco one and then grabbed the raider one too (to give to my sister).
my wife says "what the hell are you doing?", and i said "isnt it obvious?"
she says "no, not to me."
anyway, the guy working there looks over and says "its to burn of course."
LOL

I can't believe just how beautiful it is out. Nice and cozy out! What time does the tailgating typically get started?

Just thought I'd give a shoutout. :coach:
The Limo party will be there at the normal 9 something. We are having Festivus tailgate! Meck, I will not be in the tub, but I'll be there to check it out.
Hey newbies on this thread, feel free to stop by the Limo pad and say hi. Barrel Man, Hat Man and the usual suspects will all be there. We are in the south-east corner of C-RV #17.

Hey smalltowngrll, It's always this nice in Colorado :)

Just like a work day Smalltowngrl. We open up for business @ 8:00am like always! Clint if you want to bring a side dish or anything for the BBQ feel free. I know some other people said they are bringing grub so we should be good to go.
I'm a little light on raider gear to burn O4life. Glad you thought of it. See you in the lot Woody!
We just picked up the generator, Filled OF1 with what we think is alteast 100 gallons of water that is needed to top off the tub, and we've managed to fit another 75 gallons in huge 3 (25 gallon tanks) in one of the storage bins. This gives us an extra 75 gallons incase you guys decided to start splashing one another.
We're dropping it off near the stadium in a bit and we'll being testing out the tub!

Actually I don't think we could have asked for better weather. 55 degrees, sunny winds 5-10. Don't worry AK the tub has walls on 3 sides. I think the hot water and the booze will keep you warm.
I just saw the tub.......The structure itself is massive.......The tub is massive. 600 gallons of fun!

My neighbor the Raider fan drove by this morning as I was putting out the Bronco Flag. I saw him coming up the street so I started waving the flag.
He pretended not to see it as he drove by so I ran out in the street and waved it as he was going by. He says watching HIS TEAM is to painful to endure. He wants draft picks. I told him we have two number 1's he said
"NOOOOOO" :laugh:
