And Denvers selection:
25. Denver Broncos - Darryl Blackstock
The broncos went hard after Courtney Brown and got him. If healthy they will count on Brown to take on the role of the recently exited Reggie Hayward. With that role filled the Broncos take a top weakside linebacker prospect. DJ Williams, Al Wilson and Darryl Blackstock will combine to make what could be the leagues best linebacker unit.

They must have forgot about our Mr. 8 million signing bonus Ian Gold. In saying that, I am glad Ian's back.

Based on this mock...
...If the Chargers DO end up with the top pick and select Edwards...you could make a case that the AFC West is returning to its shootout days.
KC, Oak and the suddenly revamped Chargers could all have 10 ten O's.
I can see Denver's D slipping some from its yearly rankings because of the competition it would be facing...or slipping because of the addition of Ian Gold, the Brownies and a crappy '05 draft depending on how full you see the glass of water.

Can't believe people think there's still a chance Rivers is going to be traded.

Speaking of Ian Gold's 8.5 million, Sharper just signed for 1.5 million and D.J. could of stayed at Will.

Does the defense slip because of the addition of Pryce, Gold, Brown, Warren, Ekuban, & Myers? Or, did you mean to say that it slips because of the subtraction of Kennedy, Heyward, & Herndon? Addition = good. Subtraction = bad.

i understand that rivers will not be traded, but for the chance to get the #1 pick...and alreayd have a solidified QB spot...i have to ask...why not! or trade drew brees...one of the two. oh well, its the chargers...so i dont care.

Bosko - I like Jones, but in the third round. Broncs need to go DL in the draft. I will bet all of my vcash that not more than two of the following are on the active roster for the opening game in 2006.
Pryce
Brown
Warren
Ekuban
Myers
