Pryce reports to Dove Valley

As the majority of Broncos players converged at Dove Valley on Monday for the beginning of offseason workouts, one player who attended remains unsure of his status.
As Trevor Pryce worked out, work to determine his future progressed and should be resolved in the next couple of days, his agent Peter Schaffer said. Pryce said he is confident he will remain in Denver despite the Broncos' efforts to trade him during the offseason.
Schaffer has been in contact with coach Mike Shanahan about keeping Pryce in Denver, and the two sides talked again Monday afternoon. Pryce said he is open to restructuring his contract.
While restructuring is a possibility, so is a trade or a release. Pryce said he highly doubts he'll be released. Schaffer said the Broncos told Pryce he'd play the weakside (pass rush end) position with Courtney Brown playing the other end position if Pryce remains in Denver. Schaffer said Pryce is intrigued by that possibility.
"We still have some bridges to cross, but there is effort on both sides to keep Trevor in Denver," Schaffer said. "Trevor and Mike have talked, and I think both deserve credit for keeping this positive during this whole thing as we try to work out it."
Pryce said he hopes to remain with Denver, the team that drafted him in the first round in 1997. Pryce has met recently with Shanahan, and said he believes his chances of returning to Denver are at least 50 percent.
"There's a great chance I'll be here. I kind of know what's going on. I'd say it's pretty good," Pryce said. "And quite honestly, that's my No. 1 choice because nobody wants to uproot themselves and become a rookie all over again."
Last week, the team and Pryce were unsure if he would attend offseason workouts. However, as talks progressed, the thinking was that Pryce might as well work out with the team rather than on his own.
"My contract still says Broncos," Pryce said. "It still says show up April 4th. So that's what I did."
