...Why should they be allowed to waste my cell phone minutes...I am now starting to get calls on my cell phone ugh!~

I just registered my cell on the Do Not Call List.
Here's the website if anyone needs to list their cell or if they need to complain!

When they call, ask them what THEIR home phone number is. When they say they can't give that out, then ask why in the hell do you have mine and hang up. It doesn't do any good but I get a small kick out of it.

I like to play the "I can't hear you game." Keep telling them you can't hear them, by the 4th time they are literally SCREAMING into the phone. Then hang up, HI-LARIOUS!

I'm on the do not call registry, so now I get loads of hang up calls, or calls where there's nobody there. The caller ID always says "unavailable".

There's gotta be a special place in Hell for these people...

I like telling them to hold on a sec and putting the phone down. Waste a little of their time on the way out the door!

I don't answer any numbers on my cell that I don't recognize. I'm on the no-call list.

I haven't gotten a telemarketing call in at least 2 years. Go me.

The GOV do-not-call list has worked for me and my family members.

Hehe...I like asking them when they call my cell number to talk to their supervisor because Verizon does not release the number and i don't give my cell out for anything. I chewed out this supervison after i made the one lady damn near cry. She interupted my game of madden...plus made knock over my beer answering the phone.

And why do people feel compelled to answer their phones? I can't recall the last time I had a telemarketing call (since the advent of caller ID). I, too, don't answer unrecognized numbers. It's really as easy as that folks. The problem is when they start sending text messages....no way to ignore that.

I used to record little greetings that I could play for them when they did call like this one..... http://tinyurl.com/49he3 or this one...http://tinyurl.com/6otvl

I like to talk dirty to them... ask them what they are wearing and progress from there... I love it when they hang up.

I believe in capital punishment for telemarketers, especially political ones.

For the most part it is illegal for telemarketers to call your cell phone because that costs you money for them to pitch their crap. Get names, numbers, managers and the sort and start threatening litigation.

The exception is if you have a mortgage (for example) and you list your cell number as your day time phone number. The bank can then use your cell number to contact you because you have an existing business relationship with them and you have listed it. The bank then "gives" that list to an affiliate who uses it to pitch you lower interest rates that your legit bank is offering. It's really a steaming, stinking, pile of pig sh!t.

Don't give your cell # out then. The only group I have ever given my cell # to was to the Boulder Police (long story).

Same here, but I swear the credit card companies I already have call more than those annoying telemarketers. They must sit around and brainstorm about all these "protection" plans they call and offer every other day.

I love it when they call and ask for my husband. ( Never put your name first on the CC ;) ) When I say, no he's working like most normal people at this hour are, they ask for me....I tell them I'm the babysitter. ;D
