Nuggets take on the Duncan-less Spurs tonight, in the friendly confines of the Pepsi Center.
Even without Duncan, that is a good Spurs team, especially with Ginobli playing. It would be a real nice win. I don't think K-Mart is playing, as he has a horrible case of Cincinn-itis, but hopefully we come out strong at home.
I've got a sorority semi-formal tonight so I'll be missing the game, but last time I missed a game for a sorority event, we beat the Cavs... So perhaps this is good karma?
Time: 8:30 PM Mountain Time.
TV: ESPN, Altitude
Anyways, Nuggets4, Clockwork, Master Pain, come on in so I can karma rep you guys... I've been slacking lately, but we'll need it for tonight... :)

It'll be on Altitude and ESPN... ESPN will have the much better commentators, but Altitude will be broadcasting it on Comcast in HD. Of course, I'm missing the game either way.

I don't think the Nuggets will have any trouble beating the Spurs. The only team they've lost to in the last month is the Suns. If the Nuggets can get the 7th seed in the playoffs, they might have a chance at upsetting the Spurs. But if they have to settle for the 8th seed then there not going to beat the Suns.

On my way to the game now.
Memphis is up by 2 against the Bucks.
Suns are beating the Wolves by 14 in the 2nd.
Lebron is giving us no help vs SAC (SAC is up by about 20 in the 3rd)
Houston is up 33-28 at the half vs NO ( im glad im not at that game ).
A lot going on tonight in regards to our playoff picture.

I'm a Bucks fan as well as a Nuggets fan. I like the nuggets a little bit more then the bucks. So the Bucks needs to help the Nuggets out by beating Memphis. I live in Wisconsin and I'm watching the game on FSN. As we speak the Grizzlies is up by 5.

The Nuggets continue to protect the home court. They beat the Duncan-less Spurs 102-84 to stay in the 7th spot and put Minnesota (who lost to Phoenix) 3 games behind them. Nuggets are now 23-6 under George Karl and 16-2 since the All-Star break. They're now 9 games over .500, which equals the best they were at any point last season.
No time to rest, on to Portland tomorrow night.
Keep it up boys!

Looked like they were toying with the Spurs tonight. They played a little sloppy, Mello was off, K-Mart was in civies and they still coasted.
Granted, Duncan was out, but this game wasn't as close as the score.

If the Nuggs do play the Spurs, and if TD and Devin Brown are healthy, there is a little to no chance that the Nuggs would be able to pull off the upset.

Granted Duncan may be the best player in the league but I think there is a plenty good chance the Nuggets could beat them. Camby has been a straight up pimp and K-Mart ain't no slouch either. Nene is getting back into form. We have the size up front to deal with Duncan.

I couldn't believe it, I actually agreed with Tom Tolbert on something. He said that he believes that the Nuggets could give the Spurs a series but that they couldn't beat them 4 times. That I agree with.
The Nuggets frontline depth (when healthy) will make them no pushover for the Spurs, but I don't see them winning a 7 game series against a healthy San Antonio team.

Someone is gonna have to beat the Nuggets 4 times too though, and considering we've only been beaten twice in the past 18 games ... that won't be an easy task.
That said, SA could easily be the team to do that to us. Maybe we get lucky with a Duncan ankle that takes longer than expected, is re-tweaked, or just makes his return to the lineup a slow one?
Im hoping for a run at the Rockets/Kings for the 6 seed.
Rockets play the Suns next (currently 3 games ahead) and we still get them one more time this year in a head - to - head matchup.
Denver vs Seattle sounds like a very winnable 1st round series.

On a side note ....
I went to the game last night and up until then i had a good opinion of Manu Ginobli.
After watching him in person, he fell about 100 spots down on my "Fav Player" List.
He flops around like a Mini-Vlade and spends more time complaining to the refs than Tony Gonzales and Trent Green combined.

Now that's a matchup I'd love. The Sonics are a great shooting team but have very little by way of an inside game. The Nuggets would post Carmelo up all day on Rashard Lewis, pressure the shooters at the 3 point line and dare them to go to the basket with Camby & K-Mart waiting for them in the paint.
I've been hoping that the Spurs would go into the tank and let Seattle move up to the #2 seed or that either Houston or Sacramento would slide and get the Nuggets into the #6 spot.
A matchup with Seattle is easily the best possible draw for the Nuggets of the three division winners.

There is a chance that Denver will win two games, but no more if the Spurs are healthy. That is the biggest opponent for the Spurs right now is the injuries.

Yeah, the Nuggets would have no chance against Duncan & Co. But at the same time, I think 2 wins is realistic. The nuggets wouldn't just roll over, that's for sure.
I can't wait to get playoff tickets, game 3 last year was so much fun... The energy in the building was amazing.

I'm sorry, but no one tops Sam Cassell. Last year for game 3, he came out of the tunnel and immediately started complaining to the refs. WE WERE STILL 30 MINUTES FROM TIP OFF!

This was the best Nuggets game I've ssen in a while. The lost the only other game I've seen this year, but I will be looking foward to a playoff series with this team.
