The Broncos always look a year ahead going into the draft to anticipate which key players they could lose to Free Agency at the end of the year. Foster was drafted because they knew it was unlikely they would resign Salaam. Pierce was drafted because they were uncertain if they could resign Wilson.

Does anyone have a list of which Broncos would currently be free agents after the 2005/2006 season?

wow great idea, never thought of that, kinda puts a new perspectiveo n this draft, thanx!!

i believe d line is still vital, and WR(ie rod smith), and both safety postions(this spot will be decimated for a few years to come if lynch retires next year, and our rooks dont step up)

Well it looks like the Broncs current needs will also be their future needs - DL, OL and DB. Need to add WR to the list since Smith only has a year or two left. It is a solid (not spectacular) year for those positions. Gotta make all six picks count this year.
