I just heard that the phish are willing to take a day one pick for surtain. And are willing go as low as a 3rd round pick. Adam Shefnier(SP) said that the Chef are interested. I was think Chefs has an extra 3rd pick at 99th overall. We have 2 3rd round picks at 97th overall and 101st overall.

Now I not worried about our CB postition, but just to steal a guy from the chefs would great just to pi ssoff Bob. That would be great.

Maybe the 101st overall plus Droughns on draft day just the string Bob and his hopes of a defense. :)

The Chefs don't have a 3rd round pick, the Eagles have it from the Welbourne trade. They have a comp pick, but those can't be traded.

The Broncos can't trade either of their 3rd rounders either because they're both comp picks.

But if they're willing to take a 3rd rounder for Surtain, I'll bet a few other teams ears just perked up.

Damn!!!

How about this. On draft day we trade out of the first round to Philly. Then we trade one of the second round down for and extra third and then trade that plus Droughs for Surtain.

I'm sorry. I'm just really bored and it could happen..... rofl rofl Hilarious! Hilarious!

Nyah! Bob Nyah!

The showstopper is not what it would cost Denver in terms of initial Phin compensation.....it is that they wouldn't invest another huge salary at the DB position.

Teddy-Boy is already on record with this.

When it is all said and done...I believe the Chiefs will have either Law or Surtain on their roster...

..and then we will all hear what a GREAT pickup it was...blah, blah, blah...how they are headed for the SB...blah, blah, blah.....

pete and repeat

I can still see Law landing in Pittsburgh myself. It makes perfect sense for both sides unless someone else steps up and offers significantly more money than the Steelers.

Surtain is going to cost a first day pick and a large signing bonus.

Let Surtain rob Chief's bank. Even if we had our own third round pick I woundn't want him at his asking price, which Chiefs will be dumb enough to pay.

You must really regret the Champ signing.

The third round selection isn't the problem. If I'm correct I think Surtain wants a $12 million signing bonus with the team he is traded too.
