Jesus Christ, the announcers were calling blatant fouls on Illinois and the refs totally threw the damn game.
I counted FIVE HACKS by Illinois that were not called in the last minutes of regulation, including what should of been a 3 point play that bordered on rugby. Even the ****ing announcers were calling fouls. Hell, one time the guy practically tore a shirt off on an open ball.
What a joke.

Mock...it's called letting them play the game. Just because Arizona plays in the pu$$y division of the PAC 10 and Illinois plays in the RUGGED Big 10--doesn't mean the sissy's deserve a break. Play ball or go home. The refs rightly recognized this was a big game and they let em play. It's kind of like these bs ticky tack fouls in Football we all hate. LET EM PLAY!

Whatever. It's no hair off my balls. I saw the fouls, the announcers saw the fouls, the audience saw the fouls.
If you want to give the patent "let them play" that's fine. The game was a bit out of control early, and it was called loosly from the start. At the 1:29 mark, Illni was fouling constantly and there were no calls. I have watched enought BB to know when a game is being thrown. I'm not bitter, I'm just dissapointed that they let Chicago Refs throw the game. I saw it with my own two eyes. It was a ****ing joke.
First, it has NOTHING TO DO WITH FOOTBALL WHATSOEVER. Second, when announcers are calling fouls that are no calls, a certain amount of self vindication is involved, especially since Illinois was playing at home.
I am not even going to bother because the fouls were so blatant it was incredible. Now look, when the announcers, who are supposed to be neutral, and Illinois is the prohibitive favorite, why are they scratching their heads watching them Hack their way to the OT?
I don't follow basketball alot, but I know a throw when I see one. The pass to open court was a FOUL. Arizona should of gotten a 3 point play late. There were other blatant fouls that were not called, one of which CBS only showed on shot of, when an Illini player had literally tried to tear a jersey off. Now last time I checked, that was a loose ball foul.
They were hand checking like crazy as well, and there wasn't one call. I'm not discounting Illinois at all. That fact is, the game was thrown.

I saw a lot of uncalled fouls on Illini
Doesn't matter, the Tarheels will beat the hell outta either one of them.

Did the ref's non calls aid IL with their made fgs which allowed them to come back and win the game too?

Yeah, that team that only beat Villanova by one point. Surely, they'll kick Illinois' butt.

Ahh thats just one game.... I think Carolina is actually ranked #1 in scoring margin this year.... we didn't play bad in that game but geez they were throwing up some shots that were unreal in the first half and no one would have blew them out on that nite. Add that to the fact we lost out point guard and that pretty much sums that up.
Get our point guard out of the game and anybody can beat us.... but when Ray Felton is on.... the Heels are a great basketball team.
