If Trevor Pryce's value is with a trade, let's trade him to Dallas, for their first round pick at #11,plus our 26th pick. Here is why. Dallas has a Draft Pick Value of 1250 points at pick #11 in the first round, and 850 points at pick 20 in the first round.Denver's pick at 26 in the first round is worth 700 points.Take 1250 minus 700 is 550 points. Is Trevor worth 550 points? This has a value of a high second round pick, the third one in round 2,or the 35th pick overall.Fair value,in my opinion.

Some recent talk about the Bengals trading for Pryce,in which Denver trades Pryce and their 26th for their 17th pick.In this scenerio, taking the Bengals value at pick 17,worth 950 points, minus Denver's pick at 26,worth 700 points,is about 250 points. This drops Pryce's "value" further down,to a high third round,at pick #4 in the 3rd,or the 68 pick overall.Trevor is definately not a 3rd round value.I don't like this idea at all.

I can see Denver swapping Pryce to either Dallas or Minnesota, and combine Denver's pick at 26,and at the very least, get 2 picks back, one this year, and one next year.Swapping places with Dallas and their 20th pick and their 3rd or 4th next year, for Denver's 26th pick and Pryce,or swapping Pryce and their 26th pick, with Minnesota's 18th pick, plus their 3rd or 4th next year, all based on how well Pryce does in 2005.

Another scenerio is,keeping Pryce, and have him play in 15 games during the season, plus get the MVP in the Super Bowl, with Pryce getting 14 sacks and 65 tackles during the regular season, and then showcasing him next winter, for a top 10 1st round pick. We'll see first hand how "driven" Pryce will carry himself these next few months. If he is dedicated,he'll show it.If not,get rid of the bum, because he is selfish, and not a team player. He might just cause some rift on the defensive side, because of his personal greed.

Damn.

That's really ****ing great math except that Pryce has a cap number of 9 million and a 6.5 million dollar salary. The fact we haven't made a trade means that teams have allready picked up FA DE's and all that is left of consequence if Howard of New Orleans.

Slotting Pryce as a "number" is so idiotic it's pathetic unless you factor in his cap number, assumes he even wants to be traded to the Tuna, and that they are not going to hedge any restructure according to his health and age.

To put it frankly, your talking about trading a second rounder that might have a two million dollar bonus vs. a player that is looking at 9 million if he can stand pat and convince Denver he's still worth the cash.

Noone is going to pick up that contract and deal crap. This has been explained all to hell and back. Pryce has a bloated back end contract. Bottom line.

What would you pay him? There are only a few teams that might spend the cash like Dallas and Denver, but you have to remember that IHOP played the "I'll be ready for the season" crap as well with IHOP.

Pryce is worth around 4 million, not 9. That's bottom line. If he doesn't like it. Tough shiat. He isn't going to get more than 8 million anyway, in a two tiered bonus to boot. So he is playing himself as some stud. So freaking what. The guy was a non factor of 5 million last year, and he thinks he deserves his exploding contract off a back injury when we just got done with one allready?

Move the 5 million, give him 5 million more and give him incentives. That's my limit, but I said only give Gold 5 million to sign and he raped the table. Who knows what the ****ing plan is.

I could care less if this guy says he's going to be a Genie out of the Bottle. I have seen him play. He doesn't have closing speed, and his ability to command a double team is now very questionable, limiting his ability to move inside and out. It's just the facts.

He has trouble containing, yet alone tracking down a roll out despite good angles. If we were not desperate, I would tell him to take a hike. Oh, I guess we allready did.
