the great steroid curtain (http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,36~86~2781210,00.html)

"It started, really, in Pittsburgh. They got an advantage on a lot of football teams. They were so much stronger (in the) '70s, late '70s, early '80s," Haslett said. "They're the ones who kind of started it."

When Haslett loses his job, he'll never coach in the NFL again. Of course, that was true before he spilled the beans...

On another note:

"Clarett will work out at Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, Ohio, next Thursday, said his agent Steve Feldman."

How low can he fall?

Up until yesterday, Haslett was a popular guy in the Steel City for his stellar job in the past serving as Steelers defensive coodinator. Why would he take a cheap shot at an organization that gave him the opportunity to become a NFL head coach?

Steroid use was rampant in the NFL during the 1970s but Haslett is a chickens*it to attack "The Team of the 70s" when he is not basing his claims on first hand experience.

If it's true, is it still a cheap shot? I'm not saying it is or it isn't, just asking the question.

For the love of pete, steroids weren't illegal. They were not a banned substance.

What are you guys gonna do if Espin reports John Elway used roids at some point during his career?

This is true, steroids weren’t illegal back then for consumption or use and people didn’t know the full range of side effects
