As I've said before my family had to pull the plug on my mother. She was on life support for 7 days, and while there was technically a .05% chance she could come back.. the REALITY of the situation was that her life was over (at 56 no less). It sucked. I'll never be able to get the image of my mother trying to gasp for one last breath and then having her heart stop. It literally haunts me. But we made that choice for her.

The thing is, we made the choice to turn the machine off for mom. It was simply her time and keeping her on life support did nothing but prolong her pain. Terri's parents are making the choice to keep her alive for THEM...Her husband has every right to move on, because the woman he married is gone. Her life at this point is artificial. Hell, it's a fascinating debate in and of itself as to whether or not she is even alive.

Your correct she was not responding 15 years ago of course the court case was still being fought so you cant kill her at that point. You need her alive so the court can award you $ for her rehab. Then after the dust settles take that $ cut off the rehab and find you a new woman.

That has puzzled me but the guy is in the national spotlight. He took the rehab $ and did what he wanted with it. If he take $ from someone else just to release his rights not only does he lose face he may end up facing and investigation as to how the "court ordered $ for rehab" was spent.
