From KFFL : "Hot off the wire", Sat 19 Mar 2005:

"Nunyo of the Washington Post reports that the Washington Redskins have agreed to terms to sign OL Ray Brown. Terms of the deal are not available."

Sorry, couldn't resist. ;D

That SH!T is SOOO OLD!!

It was kinda funny 2 YEARS AGO when a few people first did it. It showed alittle creativity and was actually funny (painful, too).

But now, its just an immature joke thats long outlasted it time. It just shows how uncreative some people can be, really all it is, is an insult on whoever posted the lame "joke" to begin with. I mean, really, get a grip.

I remember someone posting that WR Rice has signed with the Broncos....... It was Frank Rice.

/these are always my favorite jokes... legitimate news that punches us in the gut... And then quickly dissipates.

I've got to agree with TJ. It would be different if it weren't an actual news story. I hate the ones that go "Team A signs Player X!" and then you open it and it says, "Just kidding." This one, though, was alright. The Redskins really DID sign Brown.

A job well done, I'd say.

Courtney Brown ..... Much like Gerald Warren , they have had flashes of being good , and flashes of being bust ..... alot still depends on the Broncos and if they keep Pryce or not ....slow and steady offseason though .....

I was kinda glad that we didn't sign him.

Hilarious!

You fell for it the hardest! That's why you're so mad.

Sorry guys, but, like I said I couldn't resist because (1) It is a real quote/action/story that took place yesterday (2) It was posted just below 2 other posts quoting the same Washington Post reporter that headlined "NFL/ C. Brown to Chose Between Redskins and Broncos?" and "Broncos/ C. Brown Assured Starting Job?" When I read the reporters 3rd post, I thought he was referring to the guy we want, so I too got fooled.

I'll apologize to anyone who is upset by my post, altho I'll admit I still think it was worth the chuckle.

Some nice IF's would be: If Warren finally plays to his potential and IF we can sign Brown and he can stay totally healthy and reach his potential, and IF Trevor would suck it up and restructure his deal to free up an extra 2 million or so, so he can stay and reestablish that he can play, and we draft a top DT to go next to Warren we could truly dominate.

I realize thats a lot of IFs but all of them doable (except maybe Trevor).
