With #75, Minnesota takes Mike Nugent, kicker, fixing a horrible situation on special teams.
This gives the Vikings a front 4 of Erasmus James, Pat Williams, K-Will and Udeze with Nap Harris, Cowart, and Henderson/Thomas at LB, Smoot and Winfield at corner. Brian Williams at nickle, Sharper and Chavous at safety.
Ronnie Brown will add power, speed and great hands at RB. Mock also sends Michael Bennett and a 4th pick to reunite him with Pimp Daddy Green and picks up A. Bouldin to complete the recieving corps.
Sweet Irony, Mock taking a Buckeye!

I shouldn't of moved up to #8 and robbed myself. I wanted to move back down and take Williamson or Clayton but didn't find any takers. I'll have to settle for the best RB, best DE and best kicker. They have Gary Anderson who is so old he can barely hit extra points.

Yeah, that guy. I knew I had it wrong but he's so worthless at this point why bother looking it up.
Nugent is a fine prospect and the Vikings need him. With Ronnie Brown falling into my lap, I am willing to overcome my FauxPau of trading up and losing my second. With Taylor and Bouldin, with Wiggins, Burleson and Robinson and the resident gangter TC, we can replace Moss without blinking. I start working Ronnie Brown like a rented mule, resting him with Ontairo (bong king) Smith and M. Moore the fragile. Mo Williams is also on the block if anyone is interested, but he's pretty good on special teams. I almost took Adrian McPhereson or Crapo Thorpe, but a decent kicker is sorely needed in the great white north. I would rather trade Bennett to Arizona to pick up Bouldin no matter what it takes.

With the 82nd pick, the New Orleans Saints select TE Kevin Everett of Miami (Fla.). After upgrading our DLine and OLB units, we now turn to a major upgrade over Boo Williams at TE, one of the few skill positions on offense that New Orleans is not that talented at. Kevin is good value as well in the middle of the third round.

We're going to miss him, I don't know if the draft will continue to go so well.
I mean, with his first round pick he makes these jokes about trading it to the Broncos for Droughns and Pryce until we get irritated enough with him that he actually makes a realistic pick, then he keeps up with this draft so well that he wanted to draft a guy that was a taken a good 70 picks before.
Please come back Bombs, we miss you.

I thought that this (like the previous past two years) would be a quick one round draft. Did not realize that I was commiting to a daily grind of a 7 round ordeal. If so, I would never had considered it - Fade, it is called EMPLOYMENT! I have other responsibilities and would never have consider something this intense.

With the 87th pick in the 2005 Orange Mane draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select Michael Boley OLB, Southern Mississippi.
The Greatest Player in the history of Conference USA football. He's an athletic playmaker who wrecks havoc all over the field. Jacksonville is the perfect setting for him because Stroud/Henderson will keep the bigger bodies off him where he can just utilize his talent.

With the 88th pick in the 2005 Orange Mane draft, the Jets pick CB Antonio Perkins (Oklahoma). Although Perkins is a bit raw at the CB position we believe
he has all the tools to be a very good NFL CB. With Strait stepping up his play this year it should give Perkins a year or two to develope his CB skills and focus on his duties as the Jets new punt retuner in the meantime. 12:56pm CT

Seattle gives Hasslebeck to give him a deep threat again. I would of taken Adrian McPherson here, but the Walrus was dumb enough to sign him for 6 more years. Mock does the next best thing, giving him a player that is severely underrated to stretch the field at 6/1 with 4.41 speed. Total Sleeper from Texas A/M
TERRENCE MURPHY
Wide Receiver
Texas A&M
Senior
6'1 | 193 | 4.41*
HOME TOWN: Tyler, TX
HIGH SCHOOL: Chapel Hill
*unofficial 40 time, photo by John C. Livas (The Battalion)
QUICK STRENGTHS: Speed, Run After Catch, Agility
QUICK WEAKNESSES: Consistency
NFL COMPARISONS: Speedy big play threat similar to Laveranues Coles. Although Murphy has a little bit of a bigger build.
A touted high school Quarterback who stepped in as a true freshman at wideout and broke several freshman records for the Aggies. He's been a starter since and received all Big-12 honors as a junior.
Murphy has been one of the few offensive bright spots for the Aggies the last couple of years. He has a lot of tools that make him a desireable NFL prospect. He has decent height and a good, muscular build. He also exhibits good strength and releases well off the line. His main assets are his speed and quickness. Murphy is a very dangerous open field runner after the catch. He is more than capable of turning short completions into long gains. He does need to become more consistent and he has short armed a few balls across the middle.
Murphy is a very talented player. He is a home run threat and would probably have better stats if A&M had more stability at QB. Still, expect him to test well around combine and Pro day time and that should put him solidly into day one.

Just plug in some BPA that can replace Moss in this pick, or a RG for Minnesota. I have a mission with crabgrass today. Stupid lake property.
Just pick an interior lineman or a TE/WR for me. There should be a Center lying around somewhere. Birk sucks.
Give me the top ranked center.

Well, I dumped a new computer at the lake and took off. There is so much crap piled up I couldn't handle it. Its like every garage sale on the planet landed there in the 4 years I was gone. Two car garage is stacked full of garbage. 1890's desk I had painfully restored thrown in bits. Stuff I wouldn't even take to the curb. The property next door got sold off in lots and there is some old guy I swear is Meck77 living in a garage about 10 yards away.
I hooked up digital cable and brought a damn computer and dumped it. Next I think I am going to pull the block on the boat and burn that piece of crap. (not my 68 correct craft).
I'm beyond pissed. Why didn't people just freaking leave it as I left it...perfect...It looks like the Beverly Hillbillies moved out to greener pastures.
The crabgrass is dead at least. I told EVERYONE not to **** with it when I was gone. Now the place looks Junklady just vacated the property. ****ing mice got in there when I was gone, It smells like a funeral gone bad....
It was the perfect little cool cottage. I don't know why they turned it into a salvage yard.
I'll take that center, Birk sucks for Minnesota.

I would like to congratulate everyone for their mental masterbation. Now that we have pulled off the greatest stroke in the history of the NFL, we now find that the 69'ers can't reach an agreement with Alex Smith.
The guy was a 5th rounder one year ago, and now the Niners want to pay him as a first overall, and his agent is balking.
I would take the 20 million and hire hookers. This clown ran from the shotgun his whole career and is so far from a #1 pick it's ludicrous. These agents blow my mind.

I was fairly close.
I wanted Mike Williams at #7, he went at #10. Minnesota went with Williamson, I was going to take him at 18 but was afraid he would go before that. Fact is, I didn't see Williamson at value at #8 after I traded up, and tried to move down, but didn't find anyone to play with at all, even if I moved into the third. My PM went dry as Jane Fonda.
So when Ronnie Brown (the second pick in the draft), was there, I took him, so you can't really argue with that pick. He has low miles, good knees and well, he was taken second overall. I got him at #7.
Where my draft fell apart was that after Mike Williams was taken, I traded up to #8 to still pick up Williamson and recoup a late second or even a third. I got stuck with the pick, and took E. James, who I had also targeted for the Vikings, and altho I took the pick too high, they did take him at #18.
So essentially, both players I had targeted for Minnesota in the first round went as I predicted, just in the wrong order in some weird love triangle where Mike Williams got lost in the mix, which I didn't like. I also lost my second because I move up for the DE.
I did grab the kicker in the mock, Ted Nugent the Rock Star, but the Jets wasted a mid second rounder on him. That's normal for the Jets.
So, I missed as little as anyone honestly. Who was going to expect Mike Williams to drop past Williamson?
