I know there may have already been a thread about this a couple weeks ago but these are the combine stats.

(HT.) (WT.) (40) (20) (10) (vert) (wonderlick)
Mike Williams (6-5) (229) (4.57) (2.70) (1.66) (36.5) (20)
Vincent Jackson (6-5) (241) (4.56) (2.63) (1.57) (39) (33)

Of coarse these are just statistics (how they play on the feild is more important) but im realy starting to like jackson although i havnt seen any games or highlights from him.

Does anyone have a link to a jackson highlight reel?

So, in other words, Jackson is better than him in every measurable category, except height, which is a push.

Just looking at the two athletes, Vincent seems more physically impressive. He's definitely built much more powerfully below the waist. I think defenders are going to bounce off this kid like pinballs. I think somebody will grab him in round one.

Some people are concerned about his level of competition. What about Antonio Gates' level of competition?

You mean no level of competition?
Vincent Jackson is destined for stardom in the League.

In the end, it also comes down to pass-catching ability, And Mike Williams catches just about every thing thrown his way.

Another important area is clutch performances, and Williams has come up with more clutch big plays/needed plays than anyone in a long time.

Williams has put together a very nice 4 year college career in just TWO YEARS!!!

I am going to stick to my guns and still say Mike Williams is going to one of the best new talents to come into the game in the last 10 year. That, depending on where he goes, of course

Vincent Jackson looks promising, but give me Mike Williams between the two. Nothin against Jackson, I'd take Williams over any WR in this years draft.

If Jackson goes in day one i'll be impressed. He's good, but the man just had to many off games in college. Unless he's had some amazing workouts for some teams I think he's a good pickup in the 4th or 5th round. The big difference is the level of competition that he's gone up against. The NCC isn't exactly the hot bed for corners and they didn't exactly play the best of the 1-AA last two years. I'm not dissin the man...because the 4th or 5th round is still amazing talent...and I think the guy has what it takes to make it in the NFL. Look around the league and see how many guys from the NCC there are as small role players. Guys from UND (Jimmy K with the vikes) NDSU (Lamar Gordon-probably gonna get cut from the phins, Phil Hanson was around with the Bills for all the superbowls) SDSU (Vinitari...nuf said) USD has some guys out there and so do Omaha and UNC. The league wasn't a slouch in D2. But Gordon was taken in the 4th or 5th and he was made a bigger deal out of. Watch out for a center we got comin out this year too...Hunt ranked 8th among centers but the Colts came to town today and held a workout.

I would give up most of our remaining picks in this years draft in order to get Williams.

I'm hoping we jump on Jackson if he's there for our comp pick, where that lands who knows. I'm really hoping we trade our 2nd back for a 3rd and 4th, take Jackson with the 3rd.

Height/Weight/40/20/10/Vert/Broad Jump/Wonderlic

Matt Jones - 6053/239/4.37/2.54/1.55/39.5/10'9"*/19
Vincent Jackson - 6046/241/4.46/2.63/1.57/39/no jump/33
Mike Williams - 6045/229/4.56/2.70/1.66/36.5/no jump/20

*furthest distance among all WRs, TEs, and QBs

I knew Jones had the edge in versatility and competitiveness. I didn't realize he had the edge in measurable stats.
