I always like the standard 5X5 but I have no problem with having extra ones, but I wanted to chime in a few suggestions:

Batting categories:

-I love including 2B, 3B and HR but you might consider grouping them all in one category, total bases. Even if you decide to keep 2B, 3B and HR which is fine, I say defintely get rid of hits. I think hits are kind of redundant when you have BA and all those TB categories.

-I don't care for batter strikeouts because you penalize players for making outs twice (batting average). I guess including it puts more of an emphasis on pure hitters and diminishes the importance of home run sluggers which isn't so bad either.

-BBs are a great category to include.

Pitching categories:

-HR allowed is a great stat to use. It's the one hit that pitchers can't rely on their defense to prevent.

-I say get rid of both CG and SHO. They are so rare these days and they make up such a large portion of your stats, they could swing the entire game towards one team if they are ahead in one category by one. Back in the 1970s, they would have been perfect but not in 2005.

-I like losses because pitchers get robbed out of W's all the time with poor run support and pitchers get cheap Ws all the time because of great run support.

I went back and changed it to singles, doubles, triples and HR's...I clicked Hits on accident...

The scoring is accumulative...If you have the most HR's in the league you'll receive 12 points...if you have the least amount of HR's you'll receive 1 point...This works for every stat category...

You set your roster everyday...Atleast your pitchers who are starting...

You dont play a different opponent every day, you're matched up against all the other 11 teams in the league...

Yes it is, outside of Percival I dont see that great of anyone on the team, but I just remind myself that this is a 16 man league so you have to sacrifice some players somewhere, I'd rather it be relievers than any other spot.
