I picked up a Lexmark 128 meg a year ago for around 40 bucks...it's nice for transferring mp3's and other files quickly to my laptop...I even take it when I visit my brother and he has stuff on his computer that I'd like to have, I can grab it. You need drivers on the host computer, but they are easily found on the makers site(or you can carry the install cd if you plan on making a trip). I would think you could double or triple the storage for the same price. Got mine from PCMall.com when they were running free shipping .

I got a SanDisk 512MB at Costco for $32.99. I think they might be $45.99 now but still a pretty good deal. You'd only need to install drivers if your computers aren't running XP. Otherwise it's plug n play.
