Yeah, my hubby usually does the oil changes, too... unless it's time to do it and he's been too busy/lazy or something and then we'll take it to one of those quick lube places rather than be late on maintenance.
I probably use gel more often than mousse but don't use either one all that much.

Drive. My wife doesn't handle flying well so she went to doctor and was prescribed atavan. On the bottle it says, "take 1-5." We decide that we'll play it safe and give her two of them. We board the plane and she's a little goofy but generally okay. It seems like it's just taken the edge off a little bit. We've got my then-less-than-two-year-old son in my lap and the third seat in our row is filled by this ENORMOUS guy who apparently eschews bathing in favor of simply applying another vat of Old Spice to skin. So... wife's had a couple atavan, I'm trying not to breathe too much because of the stench from Mr. Humongoid right next to me. My son is getting fussy because of the aftershave and I hand him to my wife just so I can crank up the air flow vents and try to at least get this air moving. No sooner do I hand the baby over than he pukes all over my wife. Shamu in the next seat gets all pissed off and starts yelling to have his seat changed and I'm just trying to get him to move his fat ass so my wife can get herself and my son to the bathroom. The stewardesses move him to another seat and I grab the carry on stuff for the extra set of clothes that we, being veteran travellers, always put in our carry on. The problem? No clothes. Apparently, the clothes that I set out for our son didn't meet my wife's approval. She packed them and pulled out another pair while she was packing. She didn't get to finish packing, however, so I went upstairs to do it. Thinking that I'd already put my son's clothes in the carry on (which I had...) I put the pair of clothes that she set out into the suitcase. And now here we were - with no freakin' clothes in the carry on luggage at all. None for me. None for her. None for my son. I strip off my sweater so my wife can change into it, leaving me wearing a white t-shirt with a hole in it. The wife comes back wearing my sweater, looking like she may have wet her pants, and with my son wearing a diaper, a pair of socks, and wrapped up in a baby blanket. Oh, yeah... and she's carrying a plastic bag filled with puked on clothing.
We've still got most of the flight ahead of us.
My wife is now REALLY on edge, so she takes a third atavan. After puking his guts up on mama, my son calms down and goes to sleep. The first two atavans kick in (the third comes later in the story) and my wife dozes off. Meanwhile, I'm shivering my ass off because I'm skinny, I'm wearing a holey t-shirt, the airlines nowadays are cheap motherf***ers and don't have any blankets, and air travel isn't exactly a warm experience. We finally land in Denver. We've got fifteen minutes to get to the other gate to meet our connecting flight. After de-planing, we find out that the other gate is halfway across the f***ing airport. We've got to haul ass over there and - somewhere along the way - stop and get some clothing for my boy. That, my friends is when the third atavan kicked in.
So now I'm holding all of the carry on luggage, my son, and dragging (damned near literally) my completely drugged-into-a-coma wife behind me and doing the best I can to hustle through the airport. Out of the corner of my COMPLETELY F***ING ON EDGE eyes, I see a clothing shop. We detour. I find a pair of overalls and a t-shirt that are "close enough" to my son's size that I say "ah, he can grow into them a little." I take them to the register - a pair of overalls and a t-shirt, mind you - and they ring up my TWO ITEMS. It comes out to $47.95. Have I mentioned that all I bought was a Goddamned pair of overalls and a t-shirt? But... I'm over a barrell here. My son needs clothes and I'm down to 10 minutes to get to my freakin' gate, which I still haven't located yet. I hand her my debit card, which she swipes. And the computer drops it's connection. So she swipes again. And the computer drops it's connection. And again. And again. And again. After the 7th try, I start thinking that maybe there's something wrong with the card, so I hand her my credit card. Same thing... again. And again. And again. I decide, "to hell with it, I don't like doing it, but we'll board with him in his baby blanket. Screw the clothes, I've got five freakin' minutes left before we miss our flight." Just as I turn to tell my dopey wife this, the card works! Hallelujah! I wait impatiently for the receipt to print, sign it, throw the clothes on my son - tags and all - and get back moving. I pick up all of the carry on luggage, cradle my son in my arm, grab the little dope fiend that I married by the hand and ran as fast as I could to the next gate. We arrived as they were doing final boarding call. That's when I discovered that I had somehow lost my freakin' boarding pass! I had my wife's... but I could not find mine. Fortunately, the clerk could see that I was frazzled to just about the breaking point and handled it efficiently and quickly.
We board the flight back home to Houston. The druggie is no longer tired. She's slobbering on herself a little and she's slurring words before they even form in her mind, but she's decided that she's going to make friends with the nice lady in the seat next to her. Great. Now I've got a two year old in my arms and my fellow passengers think that I'm travelling with a crack head.
We finally arrive in Houston and my wife is still a a few sandwiches short of a picnic bask... no, screw that, she just doesn't even have a picnic basket at all. She's gone. We get to baggage claim and I tell her, "Honey? Honey? HONEY?!?!?! Sit down in this chair. Hold the baby. Can you do that? I wish I didn't have to have you do that, but we've got three suitcases that I have to pull off of the conveyor, okay?" She slobbered back, "oookaashooo mumambajiboo." I knew that I was still far, far from home. I waited until everyone else had grabbed their stuff and I could plainly see my three suitcases. I had her sit up as straight as she could and I put the baby in her arms. I positioned our carry on luggage around her feet, praying that if she dropped the baby, he would land on it. Then I made a desperate dash to the conveyor, snatched a suitcase, and ran back to my wife to add it to the baby bumper perimeter I had set up around her. Did the same for bag #2. Did the same for bag #3.
Now I loaded up with all of the carry on luggage, my son, and bags #1 and #2. I had my wife drag bag #3 behind her because, frankly, I'm not a camel and I just can't carry that f***ing much. Anyway, we get outside where our friend Julie has come to pick us up. Let me tell you, she was a sight for sore eyes! I was ready to call out to her and praise the Lord that Julie was there when Julie yelled from across the street, "Oh, sh*t! I just locked the keys in the car!"
In the parking lot, behind the car, with a sleeping two year old, a drugged up wife, and a friend who wants to tell me every single event that led up to the keys being locked in the car, I'm going through all of my bags to try to find my other set of keys. I find them. I put the baby in the car. I put the crackhead in the car. Julie asks me why my wife is acting like she's drunk. I tell her that she took three atavan. Julie says, "today." I say, "No, since we got on the plane." Julie, being a nurse by profession, looks incredulous and says, "you know you're only supposed to take one at a time? No wonder she's acting stoned!" I grit my teeth and put Julie in the car. Then I sit on the trunk of my car and I angrily SMOOOOOOOOOOOOKE a cigarette. Okay, now I've got the strength for the hour and a half drive home. I get behind the wheel and I'm counting on Julie to navigate. I've only been to this airport once before but Julie has lived in the area her entire life. We drive for an hour... when she realizes that we're driving in EXACTLY the wrong direction. I turn around and drive for two and a half more hours.
I finally get home. I leave Julie in the car. I leave the sleeping baby in the car. I leave the crackhead wife in the car. I leave the bags in the car. I walk inside, I open a beer, I sit down on my front porch and drink the damned thing. I'm home.
Oh yeah... I'll drive. I don't care if we're going to Hawaii for vacation, I'm driving to that motherf***er, you hear me?
Now, for my question: Did the Denver airport rape me on those baby clothes or are you going to actually defend those sonsab*tches?

Funny you, of all people, should say that because with my holey t-shirt, drugged up wife, and half-dressed baby, I've never felt so Chief-like in my life. That would depend on the variety and consistency of the poop, which would be much easier to clean up (than puke) if it was, say, frozen dog droppings in the yard. I'd take the puke over cat diarrhea, however...
