Has anybody seen this outstanding horror movie? It was released in 1997 as a straight to video Canadian production, so its largely unknown, but readily available for rental at BlockBuster. I won't spoil the movie for anyone who wants to see it by giving a lot of details, but this is a brief synopsis:
Six strangers awaken in empty rooms. Each room has a door on each wall, as well as doors on the floor and ceiling. They have no food, no water and no idea how they got there. Eventually all six people gather together in a single room and try to figure out what's happening. Complicating matters greatly is the fact that random rooms contain lethal booby traps and there are many rooms to get through to reach freedom.
This movie was made on a laughably low budget, but you wouldn't know it. The unforgettable opening sequence has been copied/stolen by several higher budget, but far less imaginative movies including Resident Evil, Ghost Ship and Final Destination II.

I liked it, although, I did sort of see it coming.
Did you see the sequel? Cube 2 sucked really bad. Apparently they also made a prequel and called it Cube Zero, which is supposed to be pretty good. I haven't been able to locate it, though.

I checked it out recently and enjoyed it.
I bought that Moviepass from BlockBuster and I've been definitely getting my money's worth.
I took home CatWoman tonight. After laughing at horrible singers on American Idol, I'm going to laugh at one of the most horrible movies ever made.

I saw Cube 2 on Sci-Fi. At the time I didn't realize it was a sequel because it was titled Hypercube. The movie was not great, but the premise is interesting. I can't even master a Rubik's cube, so I would be a dead man for sure. I have not seen the first movie. If you really appreciate horror movies, try the films of Italian horror maestro Dario Argento or Lucio Fulci.

Saw both Cube, and Dog Soldiers a while ago and both proved very entertaining.
I especially loved the over the top blood and gore in dog soldiers.
I'm trying to get a hold of the original Japanese Ring (ringu) movies that are supposed to be better than the recent remake.

I just watched Ju-on, which was the original version of The Grudge and that movie was creepy as hell. BlockBuster only has one copy of Ringu and its always rented out.
