With Snyder's stringent high standards for academic excellence and off the field behavior he might have a tough time using them all up. Hilarious!

K-State is loading up on some impact JUCO defensive players, or at least recruiting the heck out of them. We hope to get David Dixon...5 Star ILB, #1 JUCO LB in the nation, #3 rated JUCO player in the nation. Rodney Allen also is on our list...

i'd like to see us recruit more on offense, but we haven't done well in that respect.

I didnt expect MU to get him. What 4 star WR would want to play at Missouri right now? Nebraska isn't much better but atleast they have the past.

Denfan, I heard ND has slid into the race for Gwaltney any truth to that?

Nebraska has much more than the past, they have a bright future. They have top notch facilities, the longest sellout streak in history, great recruiters....... and an excellent coaching staff (scoff if you want but, I see alot similarities between Carol and Callahan).

What WR wouldn't want to come in to a situation like that? They have a top high school QB in Harrison Beck and a top Juco QB in Zac Taylor throwing him the ball..... and there is very little depth in front of them at WR because Nebraska never really recruited them in the past.....

Some. The deal with Jason Gwaltney is that he's stated that he would be a ND commit, but doesnt' meet their academic standards to go there.

So ND would not only be in the running, they would have him as a commit had it not been for the academics.

Tennessee is having a tremendous recruiting season, helped in no small part by their street agent in South Florida. Miami has pulled in a good LB class, a good OL class and a good DB class whether or not Kenny Phillips stays home. We got some good DEs also but DT, QB, RB, WR we have done poorly. It does not surprise me at all to see UCLA in the top 20, Dorrell took two of CU's best recruiters and brought them to Westwood when he took over. In fact, they came fairly close to getting Adrian Peterson last year. Florida State always starts off slow but finishes strong, this year will be no different. Their LB class is very solid. NC State is, as usual, recruiting South Florida very well. Not a surprise that Mike Stoops is recruiting well at Arizona, he is going to field a decent team soon. I am somewhat surprised that Texas is that low considering they generally are a top 3 team in recruiting rankings, and this year they won a Rose Bowl so it is kind of nonsensical that they are not doing as well for whatever reason. However, remember the name Martellus Bennett, he will be a stud TE for them. Nebraska is doing very well, better than last year when they did well. Callahan can recruit, or perhaps more importantly, OC Jay Norvell who has alot of experience in the college game, can recruit. Georgia is still making noise but in the future i expect their recruiting hauls to be weakened somewhat as they lost their best recruiter, DC Brian Van Gorder to the Jaguars. Auburn is doing well, and if they can pry all world RB Antone Smith away from us, Ro 50 will be doing backflips. Ohio State has a very solid class as always. USC seems to be ranked too low here, they have amassed a boatload of studs, i would rank them in the top 3.

USC will be up there, what brings them down in ranking is that they only have 12 commits currently while all other top 10 teams have at least 15. Looks like theyre ready to get DeShaun Jackson and looking for Jason Gwaltney as well, when this is all over on signing day, it looks to be either USC or Tennessee taking the #1 spot.

I felt the same way against the Canes when they had Sapp. He had 1 tackle that game. That game was the turning point for Dr. Tom, man I wish that guy didn't leave. We actually had that game won until we collapsed in the fourth quarter. It went from 17-7 to 17-24. The 94 team was very similar to the 03 team, best defense in America and an average offense (in 03s case, it was far below average).

Tommie Frazier had the best quote of that game. After missing much of the season he entered the game. "Where you been?" Sapp taunted him. "It's not where I've been," Tommie snapped back. "It's were I'm going, fat boy."

We'll probably never again see a game in which both Ray Ray and Sapp get shut the hell up.

1995 Nebraska is one of the best teams i have ever seen. I think 2001 Miami (Fla.) would have given them a good run for their money though. In that 96 Fiesta Bowl, when Wuerffel had time to throw they moved the ball on Nebraska (this was mainly the first quarter). Miami's offensive line was one of the best ever in pass protection in 2001 yielding i think 4 sacks the entire year. I think Andre Johnson and Jeremy Shockey would have caused huge problems for the secondary. Portis and Davenport in the backfield. On defense, you would be facing EIGHT future first rounders. Because of stellar corner play with Rumph and Buchanon i think Miami would have almost always had 8 or 9 men in the box to defend against the option as they later did in the Rose Bowl. Miami's front seven was much faster and more disruptive than the Florida team you played in the Fiesta bowl. I dont know who would win but it would be a great game.

Yeah they are looking at Tyrell Spain from San Diego Mesa Community College. He's a 6-3 190 lb WR with good speed. That's what NU needs is some big fast WRs if they are going to make the transition.

Tomerlin would be an awesome catch. 6'-6" 265 lbs and runs a 4.6 40. The guy is big and mean. Can you imagine having him and Matt Heron both at TE?

Top Ranked WR Fred Rouse plans to commit to Miami this weekend and then sign with F$U on signing day.

trying to one up willie williams from last year who appeared to lead FSU on until the last minute.

Well, what do you know, i was right. Word is going around rivals.com that he committed to the U tonight. I hate that bastard. We shouldnt have wasted an official visit on his sorry ass. I knew it. I knew he would try and do this to us. Coker is an idiot as usual for wasting an official visit on this guy. He is undoubtedly recruiting for F$U right now to the other kids we brought in for the weekend. I am willing to bet the first four people who think otherwise 50 bucks each that when Fred Rouse signs the LOI it is for Florida State. Why do we even bring this worthless piece of **** for a visit if he is going to screw Miami like this.
Go **** yourself Fred and stay away from the other recruits. I hope he has a miserable career in TrailorHassee and ends up on the street.

Pass me a hit man. As a fan of neither team I didn't expect the Gators to beat the hell out of Nebraska that year. The best team in college history? Hardly

Best team arguements are a matter of opinion, but 95 Huskers have a pretty strong case. Averaged over 52 points a game. Closest game was a 14 point win.

NU landed WR Tyler Spain. Also Brandon Perry a three star from GA is about to sign. Justin Tomerlin liked what NU had to offer as well. His good friend is going to NU as well so that is a plus.

Long Island (N.Y.) North Babylon running back Jason Gwaltney was expected to announce his college destination on Tuesday at 5:20PM EST on ESPNews. However, an article released on the New York Newsday website said he committed to West Virginia and will announce at a press conference at 10:00AM EST Tuesday. So what's the real deal?

Ive given up on Gwaltney this past week, USC or WVU will have him. I'm upset but we have Maurice Wells committed so the RB class isn't a total bust, but he wouldve been nice to have
