Anyone have any idea how to do this so it could be trademarked? I'm working on starting up a company to throw all of my music ventures under one roof (easier tax wise), and was wondering how I would go about this.

Anyone have any tips/advice?

I'd ask Errand.

There's a difference between registering a company name and trademarking. The Secretary of State's website, I believe, has the form you need to fill out and send in to register your name. In CO it's about 8 bucks. Trademarking is a much more expensive and involved, and probably unnecessary, project.

edit: sorry that was revenue, not state:

Thanks Johnstkr. I'll do that, but the interesting part on that page was at the bottom.

To trademark a trade name registered with the Department of Revenue, contact the Secretary of State at (303) 894-2200

I think that's what I'm looking for.

Yep. And I think you only need it if you are using a unique business name. I don't think you even need to do that if you keep your name as your business name somehow. Like is you made it "Joe Schmoe Music" or "Schmoe Music". But I know this changes from state to state. You can trademark by state or federally, and there is a big difference in price.
