Just wanted to jump in on his recent appointment in replacing Ashcroft.
This is a VERY good appointment, and it's the first effort (of many I hope) to reaching out to a more central audience in his second term. Gonzales is a well spoke and well reasoned individual. I've read some of his decisions in the last day or two and he does a tremendous job of seperating personal conviction from the law... something Ashcroft struggled with. I feel, for the first time in awhile, that our justice department is in very good hands.
