The brown and yellow could win the Big 12 north this year LOL... Hey, with Glenn doing so well, I actually worry that someone will notice and pluck him from Laramie... Colorado would be crazy not to go for the dude if they could just clean up their own mess ugh...

I want you all to know I am wearing my Wyoming sweatshirt today at the office, and asking folks 'wasn't that a fun ole miss game?" Of course, wyo plays in oxford next year.
Why the hell did ole miss ever take that away game? Even the ole miss athletic dept won't say, other than, ' the last admin agreed to it.'

I was forced into having to watch CSU b-ball back in the Earl days in the late 80's and remember that rivalry being HUGE... seemingly bigger than the border war in football.
Say, whatever became of Dana Dimmel (sp)? Did he flame out at Purdue or whatever school he bolted for?

Good luck to the 'boys, but in my heart I would like to see Utah stay alive to kick West Virginia's butt in the Fiesta Bowl. Have not been up there in several years but Laramie is a fun place to see a game. I remember a game in the mid 70's when we left Denver it was 70 degrees and sunny. In Laramie, it was in the 60s and clear. By half time we were sitting in about 6 inches of snow and it was sunny again by the end of the game. They were playing a team from the midwest (maybe Louisville) that had no idea how to deal with the changing conditions.

I guess Dimel went to Hou, but that was after my time. He doesn't seem to be there now, and I don't know where he is now. I thought he bolted UWyo unnecessarily, because he was still a young guy who got a good start at UWyo, and he could have showed some loyalty. Joe Tiller moved to Purdue, but I couldn't blame him. He was an older guy, who put the program at UWyo in better shape than he found it. He was right when he said the school needed better attendance to really field good team, but hell thye need like 15% of the state to come to sell out. Tough gig there.
Jim Brandenburg was the bb coach during the time I was at UWyo. Fennis Dembo and Erick Leckner.
http://wyomingathletics.collegesports.com/genrel/wyo-hof.html
Brandenburg, as I recall, left for U of San Diego after his wife said 'no more wyo winters,' which I can relate too. Judging from the poll, the SD job didn't work out that great for him though.
http://goaztecs.collegesports.com/genrel/sdsu-fanpollarchive.html
Have no idea what became of him. I heard Fennis Dembo married a local gal and had some biz interest in Wyo. Don't know if it was, or still is, really the case.
Ps, Paul roach was a cool football coach. I recall he would bum cigarettes from the media cause he was always supposed to have quit. Only thing that bugged me was his past history with A$ D$v$s. Still, a solid football guy who came on for the school after Dennis "poke me" Erickson bolted .... scumbucket and a ****ty coach.

Go Wyoming! Go Spide!
Your right spide, Joe Glenn is a keeper. He won a couple championships at 1-aa Montana with that exciting offense. Wyoming will compete against the big boys because of that offense and even though it may be tough to recruit, if you have alot of success good players will flock there, Boise St. is a good example of this.

The only two times that I ever met Joe when my friend Paul was a player at UNC in '93,
He not only remembered my name, but he knew exactly how long it had been since the last time I talked with him. Seriously. He is that detailed and I was just in awe.
If his students and team gets treated this way, there is no doubt that he deserves all the praise he gets.

Well I am going for Utah. I'm more of a Cougar fan but I like to see Utah win too. This year I'll be going for the Utes over the Cougs though. I want to see Utah crash the BCS.
Wyoming has had a real good year though. They have really turned it around. I remember in the mid 90's Wyoming had a killer team and lost to BYU in the WAC championship game. I think it was on OT. It was only like thier first or second loss all season and then they totally got snubbed by all the bowls. That was just wrong.

What happened to ole miss:
5. Wyoming. The question isn't so much how did Ole Miss lose to Wyoming as: Why the heck did that game get scheduled in the first place? It was a mistake from the get-go. Here's a general rule of thumb for SEC teams when scheduling non-conference games: Do not play at 7,000 feet above sea level against dangerous teams, especially when playing there can't help you even a little bit in recruiting. I have one word for that game: Stupid.
