Mad about not getting their way, some liberals want to re-draw the map so maybe they can win a national election again. Here are two ideas:

That's not true. Dallas is humid and sticky, and sometimes smells odd when certian winds blow in, but Texas is a vibrant, modern and powerful state. Texas chicks are super hot too! I'm a sucker for the accent.

You know the more I look at this the more I wonder if Santa Claus isn't a liberal pouring his magic liberal juice on the top of north America. I mean you can see it dripping down the sides... :saywhat:

After dealing with the miserable people there for the last 6-7 years and as I have previously said, I would gladly trade that northeastern sector to canada for a good supply of flu vaccine

I can't go along with the Canada bashing at all. They're the nicest people I've ever met plus I was always treated very well when north of the border...even in Quebec, which is perceived as english-hating, I never had a bad incident....as a now-former Expos fan, believe me, I was up there a lot and enough to know the real story when it comes to Canada.

Sometimes I wish California would just succede from the US. We're the six largest economy in the world and I'm tired of supporting the rest of the country with our GDP.
You guys are on your own. We'll start a nice little republicratic society and let you folks focus your family. We'll keep Arnie, steal Colin and McCain, and leave Barb Boxer on Nevada's door step with that freakshow Nancy Pelosi. Oh yeah, we're keeping all the technology IP and the Wine too.

San Jose has been the highest exporting city in the US for several years running now. I think it was 28 billion last year. Pretty insane if you think about it.

Annex Mexico? No need!
Almost every 15 year old here has a kid and nearly every 18 year old has two.
The mean age here in Mexico was 15 several years ago and I am sure it is even lower now. Consider there is no work here now where do you think these millions of under educated jobless will go?
Course Shack, rascal and others think I'm insane. It's all no worries we have the Messiah George to protect us and all is well.
As long as them damn fags will have to corn hole each other with out the sanity of marriage. Lest we tarnish the name of that 40% that actually stay married. Course the truth is all the gays really want is to have the legal rights afforded to any couple committed to one another. Repubs could have picked on Jews but that has already been done.

You dont like that stench? Hell man, thats the smell of money, ask any Texan.
And Hogan, reporting on the state of food in Texas from your experience in Amarillo is not only unfair, its downright disrespectful. While New Mexico has some great food, you will not find better "Mexican" food in the United States than you will in Texas. Further, you will not find better Vietnamese food anywhere outside of Vietnam than you will find in Houston (which has a population of 250,000 Vietnamese in Houston and 500,000 in Houston and the surrounding area, roughly 1 in 8 Vietnamese here)
And while KC maybe "famous" for its BBQ, I have not tasted better BBQ than I have in Stephenville Texas, home of Tarlton State University and that includes some of the best from all over the south my friend.
Texas is unique in that because it is so large with such a variety of cultures even amongst the white people alone, that you cant judge Texas as a whole, but only as individual parts of Texas.
Like take Houstonians. We think Dallas/FtWorthians are yankees. They speak different, they think different, they have different slang and they have snow on a regular basis. Its barely part of Texas as far as we are concerned. San Antonio? Well hell man, thats the heart and soul of Texas, home of the Alamo. Different breed though, a little more mexican flavor but very good place to go. Austin is in the hill country and is home to UT. It is a different breed being both the political center of texas as well as the rough and rowdy longhorn students. From vastly liberal to highly conservative and all things inbetween. Mixed and varied sort there but a great place to party and a kick ass place to live. (Sandra Bullock lives there so my bias may be showing here).
Then you got El Paso, gateway to Texas for Mexicans who flow over on a regular basis. Hey, we got the room, the more the merrier. Get a work permit, pay your taxes, I got no problem with it. Bring tortillas and jalapeno's, I love those things.
Amarillo is more like Kansas. Cattle and farms because its flatland and perfect for it. Its a cowtown in the middle of nowhere and the people there are ranchers and farmers and what most people think all Texans are like.
It just aint like that. We might talk "funny" to you, but remember, you guys talk funny to us too. We might seem arrogant but if you had to deal with the peckerheads who ask you if you know where any real cowboys are all the time you might seem a bit arrogant and above their stupid ass too.
Ya'll come down to Houston I will show you the Texas I know and I promise you will leave with a smile on your face and a changed opinion about Texas in general. Spider, your not invited. All you do is talk smack about my state :cuss:

The problem with being the sixth largest economy in the world is that its only because of California being part of the United States. The South is the second largest economy in the world behind only the US as a whole but would falter without the north's industrial might or Cali's high tech. Though the South is catching up in those areas, it only contributes to teh whole of the country anyway. California, like the South or the Northeast, would not be as strong of an economy standing alone.
And its ceceed, not succeed. I did some checking and unforunately its not in California's constitution and even if it was it would be against the federal constitution as Texas was the only state that had that provision in their state constitution at one time but had to remove it because it was against the interpretation of the Federal constitution.
California would have went bankrupt three years ago were it not for the federal government giving at least partial aid. How do you think you guys could manage without that help? You couldnt. Further, who is going to protect you from the Texans who will undoubtably ceceed and then kick Cali's ass for ceceeding first. ;D
