I think it's very possible, especially if Hilary runs. Kerry should have won by larger percentages in the northern states when he was benefited by the economy and the Iraq situation. I can definitely see Jeb taking Minnesota and Michigan.

There will be Bush fatigue in this nation, even among R's. Hopefully he won't run or get the nomination if he does.

A Gulliono/Rice ticket in 2008 will get 65% of the vote.

McCain/Powell
Would get 62%
Gulliono would take NY from the Whitewater version of Ken Lay (Hillary) and Rice would bring blacks and women.

How do you come up with those numbers?

McCain would bring the moderates and Powell would bring blacks and veterans.
either ticket would win.
Nice to see that the republican party has so many talented choices to pick from whereas the democrats have...hillary.

Guliani doesn't stand a chance of pulling even the nomination. What people don't seem to understand is that Guliani would never pull the evangelicals in this country. He's not only too liberal, but morally he's worse than Clinton. Here's a guy that brought his mistress home to do in his wife's bed.
It'd never happen.

Neither of the NY guys has a shot IMO Rudy/Pataki. They won't be able to execute the "Southern Strategy" and probably won't tip NY to the GOP either. Good VP's possibly but not at the top of the ticket.

I put "No" because I don't think Jeb will get the nomination.
How's this ticket:
John McCain
Rudolph Giuliani
I'd like to see Hillary work against that one.

Rice would bring blacks and women.
Only problem being that she's done a tremendous job of alienating.. the black and woman voter. She's not a popular figure among that particular population..

I'm telling you McCain and Powell if they would do it.
That ticket would kick ass especially if was up against Hillary, because the religious and conservative right would die before letting her in.

Cheney steps down for health reasons in two years, Bush taps Giuliani as VP and grooms him for a run in '08.

maybe. but a New Yorker, italian, who left his wife and kids for a mistress, and pro-choice ..... in Alabama. He might live through GA and Miss, but those folks in Ala really are crazy.
thinking about condi, I mean race is a rough topic in the deep south. It shouldn't be. Prolly wouldn't be but for race gerrymandering, of course then there might not be any blacks in congress from down here. But thinking about it, what would these bigots do down here? Vote for kerry? Not likely. And condi might could get some of the black folks to vote for her

Can Jeb win huge in 2008?
Of course.
With Diebold, all things are possible.
You can even take a completely unelectable, drooling imbecile like GeeDubya and make him a "winner"--record voter turnout/massive new voter registration/exit poll inconsistencies be damned.
If the reich-wing wants Banana Republic Jeb to be our next president then consider it done.

You know much of what LA is saying reminds me of the Unibombers rants in his letters. He has been watching too many science fiction movies.
