Played Halo 2 last night

I was over at a friends house in Westwood...Walked in and noticed that my friends were huddled up around the TV...I was like what's going on? My good friend looked up at me and said I got Halo 2 already! I was like how? Well apparently he's got his Xbox chipped and one of his roommates downloaded the illegal version on the internet...ANYWAY...I'll basically summarize like this...I was there ALL NIGHT...I left like around 3am...The game is absolutely SICK...there is even a level similar to Blood Gultch...We played capture the flag a dozen times...I'm about to go back over there and play until the Halloween Festivities start tonight...

Whomever downloaded it better be careful...Microsoft is coming in full force after people that illegally dl Halo2. I'll go search for the article I read, but some 30 odd people have already been served. On a side note...how is the new weapons? Is the assault rifle worth something now that it scopes? Inquiring minds want to know!

I dont think those guys will have a problem...They arent connected Online...So I dont know how Microsoft will come after them...ANyway...thats not my problem, I'm just going to go there more and more until Nov 9...These guys live in Westwood, near the UCLA campus...They are supposed to bring a bunch of other guys over next week with their Xbox's and we're going to have a Halo 2 party...haha...anyway...As for the new weapons...There are some awesome ones...I honestly dont remember the names of the new guns but, I do know that some are quite powerful and some are worthless...But, the assault rifle has the scope but, once you pull the trigger to shoot the scope goes away, so basically you use the scope as binoculars then start sprayin' the enemy...

I am stoked... I just saw a bunch of screenies of the game yesterday over at w2s and can't wait to see the game live...

CB, how are the in-game physics this time? Did they implement ragdoll models this time?

Ragdoll physics on game models means that the players fall literally like a ragdoll when you shoot them. Good examples of this are Far Cry and Max Payne... it adds a great realizm to the game...

I don't think Halo2 has ragdoll physics. I'm pretty sure they are using the same engine as the original. Just with a gazillion more polygonpixels and polygonpixel hit detection.

My roommate has told me about these modded Xboxes you can buy for about $375...150 gig HD with a bunch of new games already loaded and the ability to copy games onto the HD with one-button. It's set up where you can still use Live, but only with the disc in the drive...ya dig?
