Monty Brown called out the rev. Bryan Cox. Pretty funny. On The Best Damn Sports Show they showed a clip of Brown blasting Cox telling him to never mention his name again and ending it by calling him a fat water buffalo. Cox replied saying he might look like Tarzan but he wrastles like Jane. Also said he would meet him anytime, anywhere in the ring.

Cox should have pulled out that kitchen chair back he used to wear behind his helmet and blasted that guy right in the mouth.

Monty Brown? I follow wrasslin' pretty religiously and I've never heard that name. He must be a small-time wrassler...

I'll never forget the ill-fated bout between wrestler Bart Gunn and Butterbean. An actual boxing match (no faking it in this one, though Bart Gunn probably wishes there was) that lasted all of 23 seconds before Gunn was KTFO brutally by Butterbean.

Ali is my hero when it comes to boxers but he stooped to a couple stupid things during his days!

Cool. Thanks. That's why I've never heard of him. He's an NWA-TNA wrestler and I don't watch NWA-TNA...

R.I.P. Gorilla Monsoon... :-/

About 6 years ago (approximately), Tyson became a wrestling "bad guy" for about a week. It looked very bad because you have to have SOME acting skills to be in pro wrasslin', and Tyson just looked embarrassing... :giggle:

You guys are probably too young to remember but I was a wrestling fan back in the 50s, 60s and. Dick The Bruiser, The Crusher (Reggie Lisowski), Verne Gagne, Baron Von Raschke, Nick Bockwinkle, Bobby Heenan, etc... I seen all these guys more than once at the Denver Coliseum. It was some amazing stuff
that I'll never forget!

Yeah, my memory doesn't go back that far, being that I was born in 1970. I got into watching wrestling at a time when it was becoming more entertainment than anything else. Guys like Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan were just starting out and people you referenced were at the end of their careers or getting into the "managerial roles". I vaguely remember Bulldog Bob Brown touring the circuit here.

Monsoon was from my area......never met the guy but I understand he was pretty cool. Him & Heenan were hilarious together.

Anyone remember The Grand Wizard of Wrestling? That guy was the coolest manager (that wasn't a female valet) that ever lived.

I loved wrestling when I was a kid. I grew up watching guys like Classy Freddie Blassie and John "The Golden Greek" Tolos.

I quit watching in the early 80s when they started up with the blatant steroid freaks like Hulk Hogan and the disgusting soap opera storylines.
