The first debate seemed to make a major impact on voters. Nearly 33% said the debate gave them a less favorable view of Bush while 39% said they have a more favorable view of Kerry now. Bush's approval rating drops to 46% down from 54% in late Sept.

WASHINGTON - Sen. John Kerry (news - web sites) has taken a slim lead over President Bush (news - web sites), according to an Associated Press poll that shows the president's support tumbling on personal qualities, the war in Iraq (news - web sites) and the commander in chief's bedrock campaign issue — national security.
Fewer voters than a month ago believe Bush is the best man to protect the country and fight the Iraq war.
The AP-Ipsos Public Affairs poll, completed on the eve of the second presidential debate, showed a reversal from early September, when the Republican incumbent had the momentum and a minuscule lead. With bloodshed increasing in Iraq, Kerry sharpened his attacks, and Bush stumbled in their initial debate.

Can't wait to say "President Kerry."
Can't wait to say "President Kerry."
If that turns out to be the result of the election, I imagine you'll vanish, since I believe it would require more intellectual integrity than you could possibly have to criticize Kerry as much as you do Bush, with the same vulgar vigor.

But that would imply that Kerry has done something to deserve the same criticism/reproach as bush, wouldn't it?
I'm sure you will continue trying to make just such a case with the same "vulgar vigor" (as evidenced by your former avatar caption.)

Seeing as how the Kerry plans I've seen, at least in terms of the war in Iraq and foreign policy generally, are very little different from the current Bush policies, if you weren't so partisan, I believe you'd find ample things to criticise in a Kerry presidency.
But, we all know that intellectual integrity isn't your strong suit - you think the world of Michael Moore, for one example.

Your only opportunity to say that will be if he is elected the president of your HOA or commune or whatever.

Pretty bold statement in the face of all the tight numbers. The fact is no one knows who will win with the race this tight.

Kerry's election would do nothing other than remove Pre-emption from foreign policy - which is a very good thing IMO. However, he would still have to contend with the house and senate, which are both repub run. I would hope they keep him on a much shorter leash than what has been evidenced in the last four years.

LMAO @ the idea of being chastised about "intellectual integrity" by a person who is certain that Moore's F 9/11 film is dishonest--even though he admits he hasn't actually seen the film (much like he hasn't actually seen a "Kerry presidency," or, I'd wager, actually seen Kerry's positions on issues, plans for the country, etc.)

Or perhaps you'll have an opportunity to meet the Kennebunkport Cowboy in his next occupation as a greeter at your local WalMart.

I've stated why I will never waste my time in seeing F9/11; I am not interested in enriching an anti-American agitprop wanna-be.
On the other hand, you've never replied to my multiple queries as to whether or not you've read the 9/11 Commission Report. Why is that?
(much like he hasn't actually seen a "Kerry presidency," or, I'd wager, actually seen Kerry's positions on issues, plans for the country, etc.)
For one example, I saw a TV ad of his last night with his plan to "fix" Iraq. He would get more allies involved, and he would have Iraqis trained to protect their own country.
As for the second point, that is already taking place, so no difference from Bush on that one.
As for Kerry's first point, the details of how he can convince (say) Chirac to allow French soldiers to come home in body bags instead of Americans isn't given.
Since you support Kerry so strongly (actually, that's probably not true; you hate Bush so much that Charlie Manson would get your vote if he and Bush were running against each other) why don't you fill in those details about Kerry's plan to get more allies to help us in Iraq.
Convince me to vote for Kerry, LABF.
