This is the big one this weekend, what is everyons' predictions and thoughts on the game?

Prsonally, Oklahoma drills Texas...again. Every year, people predict Texas to win this because "it has to happen sometime." No it doesn't, and it won't be this year. Benson has something like a 2.2 YPC career against Oklahoma, and now with no B.J. Johnson and Roy Williams at WR, Texa' passing game is going to struggle more than before.

Last year was Texas' best chance to win, and they blew it, Oklahoma wins tis one again and Texas will have to wait til next year for their shot.

I think Texas has a shot, but OU does seem to have their number.

Did anyone else see Texas running back Cedric Benson's comments on the game? He actually said he would rather win the Heisman than beat OU. :nono: I can't imagine that even Longhorn fans are happy with him after displaying that kind of attitude. I would love to see OU lose, but I would also like to see this flavor clown get smacked down on saturday. That way he could lose the game and any chance of winning the hypesman.

OU 42 Texas 27

Stoops has Brown's number no matter what year it is. Texas will keep it closer than in the past because Cedric Benson will control the clock and put points on the board. Still, it's more than enough to cover an astounding 8 point spread.

Texas finally pulls it out this year... I really have no reason why I feel this way. Maybe I am just tired of seeing OU own them...

Better get used to it Hawk...as long as Mack Brown is a Texas's helm. You want to really see the irony in all this??? Mack Brown was tired of his defenses playing soft, so guess who he hires to take over the defense???? Greg Robinson! What a freaking joke!

Saul...PUT DOWN THE CRACK PIPE!

Seriously, every OU/KSU game has been good, except last years Big XII debacle (you guys finally got a football trophy to display, congrats). I would expect nothing less, even if OU did get defeated, which they won't.

We couldn't beat Marshall last year, and rolled around and whooped OU. When they played TA&M and lost, I could see they were starting get a "spark" back, and Dylan Meier got some swagger. They will roll over KU, get a ton of confidence, and finally gel. I've seen it numerous times from KSU. They fill holes with JUCO players, and they don't "gel" until a few games in to the season.

Heck yeah. In 2001 (our worst year since our "Bowling" era) we made the OU game a damn good game. 2000 was the same way. Very close...

Here are some interesting "stats" if you will:

Since the Bill Snyder era, the OU/KSU series is 6-7 in favor of OU.
In the last 8 meetings, (over 10 years) , the series is 5-3, in favor of KSU.

Just a very competitive series overall, over the recent years.

Well, since the Bob Stoops Era we are up 3-1 with each school winning a Big XII Championship.

As I said, people are only precicting Texas because "it has to happen sometime."

No it doesn't, and it won't this year. Oklahoma is a better team with Texas' number, shows the heart Texas had when their starting RB and offensive captain said that he'd rather win the heisman than beat OU, it's over for the Horns before it even starts.
