Figured I'd get a thread started for you Buff homers that have a big game on your hands at Folsom this Saturday against Oklahoma State.
So, how you guys feeling about this game? Tough loss last week and it may be tough to bounce back from that, especially against an undefeated OKSU team
Thoughts, predictions, KSU smack(it eventually will boil down to that) on this game, all talked about in here.

Tough tough game for the Buffies...CU has a wretched defense, an OSU has a helluva running game. Good luck guys :)

Just announced: Billingsley is out this week. Purify did practice today and is day-to-day. Logically, I can't come up with any way the Buffs win this week (although we're not nearly as "wretched" as Saul thinks.....), but my gut says we will. I'll look closer at the game on Friday.

We will win... You heard it here first. OK State is coming in already looking ahead. The defense will be there for the show. Its guaranteed...

For what its worth I think the Buffs have alot better chance of winning this week than the fishsticks. Its not much but atleast its a better feeling then being a fishhead.

I'm still not sure what to think of this years Buffs. They're so up and down, both offensively and defensively. OK State hasn't hasn't beaten the Buffs in Boulder since I think 1988, and Barnett always seems to get the Buffs up for home games against ranked opponents. CU was a bad team last year and gave the Sooners all they wanted here, up until about the 4th quarter when the Buffs finally wore out. I just feel the Buffs win in a close one...

I'm going to help out Barnett and the coaches on this one. Stack the box! If you have to put 9 guys up on the line then do it. Blitz Blitz Blitz and Blitz some more. OSU isn't going to win throwing the ball. Woods is pretty inaccurate at this point in his young career. Take advantage of it. As far as offensive play calling goes, stop being so damn vanilla. Stretch the field with one of the wideouts. What's the point in playing 3 yards and a cloud of dust when you can't get the 3 yards? This is a tough game for me. It's a team that I've loved since birth, vs a team that I went to school at. If Colorado doesn't Blitz atleast 65% of the time, then I say fire everyone. Hell, I say fire everyone anyways. I want some turnover from the top to the bottom!

OK, here's what I've heard first of all:
* Look for Bad Thad Washington to get some PT. He's VERY physical, and I wouldn't even be surprised to see the Buffs go with a 4-4 defense (Billingsley out). Dawn, Dizon, Bad Thad and Iwuh are a pretty damn good group of LB's.
* Speaking of JJ "Dynomite" Billingsley, look for him to be done for the year to try to get a medical redshirt.
* Klopfenstein is going to (finally) get more opportunities. He's our best reciever, so it's baffling why we haven't ran more plays for him. I think this is the week Watson removes his head from his ass.
* Purify probably won't play (IMO). This one is just gut feeling, but I do'nt think the team is too confident either. We're gonna see a lot of Vickers and Jolly, two VERY physical backs. Occasionally, we're ognna then throw Hugh Charles (all 5'7" of him) in there to go for hte opposite feel in the running attack.
OK, now my thoughts. Everyone here keeps mentioning CU's defense. Saying how we're in trouble there. We held Mizzou to 17 points, and even if you bring up the 3 missed FG's, most of those opportunities were because of hte offense's inability to move, sack up and possibly breathe. The UNT game we gave up a LOT of yardage, but that game was a shootout. Am I willing to remove it from my memory completely? Hell no, it was a wake-up call. We held Brad Smith to less than 300 total yards. If anything, we should be worried about our pass D. Considering OSU has thrown the ball 41 times this year (YEAR! They're the new Nebraska!), I'm not too concerned (hence the 4-4).
Our offense on the other hand...........wow. IF Watson removes his head from his ass (big if) and we return to the multi-faceted attacks of 2001-2002, we're scary. We have RB depth, why not show it off? Let Purify get a breather occasionally. We have LOTS of WR's (not sure any of them are good yet), why not spread it out.
Logically, we have no shot. That said, it's gonna be 70 degrees tomorrow at gametime and Folsum will be rocking. It's homecoming. It's ABC. John Hessler is leading the parade tonight. The campus is AMPED. This atmosphere is rivaling the CSU lead-up right now. Add to the fact that OSU seems to be more concerned with the OU-UT game this week and it could be a disaster. OSU has four VERY tough games coming up (I believe OU, UT, Mizzou and someone else).
Long story short? CU 13, OSU 10.

Hell, atleast my old HS runs the spread offense. They are averaging 44 points a game this year. CU's offense looks like a retarded version of Denvers offense this year. When most teams throw the WR screen, they throw to fast, quick, shifty receivers...not tall, slow, clumsy white guys named dusty. Hell, now I wish CU lost to CSU, WSU, and well, no I'm glad we beat NTU. Atleast with those other losses we could secure a firing...those wins gave us hope. DAMN YOU BARNETT!

Won't matter who they get to coach. CU's going to be real bad real soon, if they aren't already. Can't recruit with the facilities they have, the support they have around campus, town and from the administration, and recruiting restrictions will hurt more.
CU dreams big athletic-wise, but they don't come close to putting their money where their mouth is.

i think CU needs to take some lessons from CSU and start recruiting some recievers and go with a more open offense. i really dont think Barnett is the problem, he is just using what little talent he is got and it aint much.

and that's Barnett's fault that he can't close. He didn't do bad with his '01 recruiting class that took off at the end b/c of the Fiesta Bowl, but he squandered that carry over in '02's class. Last year's just sucked, though some frosh are making contributions this year. When is Klatt going to get benched and White or Cox given a chance?

Cox is in. Once again CU shoots self in foot and a penalty takes away a TD.

When is CU going to run out of bullets so they can stop shooting themselves in the foot? This debacle is embarrasing. Atleast I attended the other school. I guess I can silently say "yippie"

He's hurt and it shows. He's doing nothing. Vickers is having a wonderful game but the coaching staff and retarded players are ruining his career day. Vickers had a long td reception, but it was called back because Monteilh can't throw a block and just tackles people. Not only do they need to fire Barnett...but Betsy aswell. As noted on another Buffs board, with her self imposed recruiting rules, there isn't a good coach in the country that would come to boulder. OSU just scored again... Where's the pride CU?

I think something is gonna go down tonight. Just some rumors I heard, but I think this game could have opened up a can of worms.
I was wrong. I thought CU would come out. The D played GREAT in the first half, until the TD pass right at the end. That was the game, you knew it. THe offense was.......yeah. OSU was great, gotta give them mad props.
We have a dumb team. I expect Callahan to call us out....we're that dumb. How many dropped balls today? Klopfenstein, our best reciever, had at LEAST 2, probably more that I missed because it was hard to see with people streaming out of the stadium. Very poor performance all around.
Big props to OSU, they're definately legit.
