So, where does Colorado stand in the political arena. Are you more of a Conservative or Liberal State?
Bush or Kerry?

It was conservative but with all of those california wack jobs moving to the state it is moving more liberal. Denver, Boulder, and maybe the mountain ski resort towns are liberal, pretty much everywhere else is conservative.

Colorado switches back and forth and a mixture of the two. We've often had Dem governors and Rep Senators. It's a real mix. The cities tend be more left (except CO Springs) and the rural areas more right. Who knows?

bahhhh...Colorado grows their own lefties in the Republic of Boulder.
Pueblo is a union town so most vote democrat.
Colorado Springs is Conservative stronghold and having the (D) next to your name is political suicide(bwahahahaha!)....
The Denver metro area is diverse from one city to the next.

Most of those "Cal whack jobs" were Repubs who moved into Douglas County.

HA! One person's whack jobs is another person's genious. Rep whack jobs=genious, dem whack jobs=whack jobs. It's a tricky formula but pretty easy to remember :)

Colorado is just like most states - voting preferences are less correlated with what state you're in, but more correlated with urban/suburban/rural. There are regional differences, of course, but urban voters tend to be quite Democratic, rural voters quite Republican, and suburbanites tending Republican, but with a strong Democratic contingent as well.

California whackjob = conservative white kid that goes to a huge internationalized metropolitian area in California, makes tons of money, works multi-nationally for one of the biggest technology firms in the world, and then comes home to find that the angry whitebread 'us against the world' shoe doesn't quite fit anymore.
Reads The Straits Times, WSJ, and FT every morning and can't believe the amount of bad news that doesn't get reported in the US.
Laughs with coworkers in Grenoble and Milan about the evil French and Italian people that are trying to ruin America.
Was treated negatively in Malaysia for the first time in 10 years of travel simply for being an American.
Can't believe that a conservative government would mis-manage money so poorly.
Can't stand either candidate but will punch the ticket for anyone not named Bush just for the chance to start over.
Confident that the next Prez will be a one term guy, so we'll be able to find someone intelligent in 2K8 like McCain, Obama, Guiliani, or even a John Chambers/Larry Ellison type.
Will move to Vancouver or Milan if Hillary ever gets nominated.
