Even though i think Vtech will beat WVA this weekend i see the team starting go downhill. im not sure what the red shirts or new recruits look like for Vtech but im wondering if they are going to fade out. this team the past few years has constantly been a top 25 team but are slowly starting to fade out. and obsverations? am i looking at it to quickly? what say you GB, the #1 Tech fan on here?

They don't have a QB named Vick starting, only time they've really been a national powerhouse team.

True, but isnt Beamer primarily noted for his defense and special teams?

Didn't they lose their defensive coordinator, Bud Foster?
Losing Mike Vick and Marcus not turning into anything worthwhile has obviously hurt the Hokies. Their defense hasn't been as good as it was in the late-90's and other teams have caught on to their special teams dominance.
They'll be a solid team most seasons and maybe have a national championship run every decade or so. Beamer will finally move on and they'll be back to being VPI. 1999 will never be topped in Hokie-land.
