No But I did stay at a H....

In all seriousness, I did purchase the Goodfellas DVD. Chock full of extra stuff. It's well worth the 17 bucks I paid at Costco.

Special features my ass .........

The special features are pretty lame, but I'm liking the movies even better. I'm only on Episode IV, but Lucas seems to have finally got the changes right. Some of the new effects from the 1997 "special edition" were REAL lame and he fixed them.

This country is running at a fever pitch.

Cause he knows the idiot star wars nerds will still buy it up regardless of how long he holds out.

Pretty smart actually, hold-out on DVD to build it up, jack up prices, release finally, and still make the sales.

Bunch of suckers.

RANDAL You know what else I noticed in Jedi?

DANTE There's more?

RANDAL So they build another Death Star, right?

DANTE Yeah.

RANDAL Now the first one they built was completed and fully operational before the Rebels destroyed it.

DANTE Luke blew it up. Give credit where it's due.

RANDAL And the second one was still being built when they blew it up.

DANTE Compliments of Lando Calrissian.

RANDAL Something just never sat right with me the second time they destroyed it. I could never put my finger on it-something just wasn't right.

DANTE And you figured it out?

RANDAL Well, the thing is, the first Death Star was manned by the Imperial army-storm troopers, dignitaries-the only people onboard were Imperials.

DANTE Basically.

RANDAL So when they blew it up, no prob.Evil is punished.

DANTE And the second time around...?

RANDAL The second time around, it wasn't even finished yet. They were still
under construction.

DANTE So?

RANDAL A construction job of that magnitude would require a helluva lot more manpower than the Imperial army had to offer. I'll bet there were independent contractors working on that thing: plumbers, aluminum siders, roofers.

DANTE Not just Imperials, is what you're getting at.

RANDAL Exactly. In order to get it built quickly and quietly they'd hire
anybody who could do the job. Do you think the average storm trooper
knows how to install a toilet main?
All they know is killing and white uniforms.

Well I guess I am a sucker and an idiot then. I am glad these were released on DVD finally. Maybe I am an idiot, but I thought movies look and sound better on DVD format than VHS. :hitself:

It's not like these have been on DVD before, and the are being released again. What's wrong with having the DVD of the movie?

As far as jacked up prices, I payed $38 for my set. Less than $13 per movie. Yeah, they really jacked the price up :saywhat:

These movies look stunning! They look as if they were made yesterday.

I loved the first one. The second one was a piece of sellout trash. The third one had a few good moments. The last two have been unspeakably bad.

A great value at $40.00, would have paid more. Atleast you have something left after watching them.... Hummmm not like hanging out at a website telling everyone they wasted their time and money. Buy a clue.

I must be a real a-hole..... I have paid over $1,000 to take my wife to a Bronco game. :bash:
