Why does the Fed raise interest rates when raising interest rates creates inflation?

You don't control inflation by raising interest rates. That is only effective up to the 15 percent rate.

The there is no reason to raise the rate. None. I was educated at Bechtell Economics at Denver Univeristy and literally got into a spitting match about this Idiot's laffer curve.

I'm not going to go into economic arguments between a punk and an old man, but to me, raising interest rates only feeds inflation. The Idea that you have to raise interest rates to control inflation is the stupidest thing ever devised.
