okay I really need help and advice from the rest of you on this one.

this crazy guy in my league is offering Jamal Lewis for Quentin Griffin.

straight up.

what should I do. at heart I am a bronco fan and in an FFL league there is nothing I would rather do than score my points with a bronco. also this guy is obviously a tool. giving up a proven runner for Q, so I dont want to be the bad guy of the league for taking advantage. but common what can I do? is there some news out ther eabout Lewis I dont know about, I am expecting him to have the trial delayed until after the seasson so he wont miss any time soon.

?????

I'd keep Q...but then again I'm a Bronco fan.
I think Q is going to tear it up this year.

OT Ogden was out for the Cleveland game and it screwed Baltimore's whole offense. Without him, they have only an average O-Line, if that. Even worse, his backup got injured in last week's game.

Here's some insight by a Raven's analyst:

"J.O.’s absence was like chum to a hungry shark. And on Sunday, that hungry shark had a name -- Kenard Lang. J.O.’s replacement Ethan Brooks made Lang look like Reggie White in his prime. Brooks’ footwork was so sluggish, I actually looked to see if someone had tied his shoes together as some sort of sick joke." The line never seemed to develop any rhythm but that in my opinion, was a byproduct of poor field position and poor play calling. Bottom line is, this unit needs to get it in gear. With Flynn out, Zeus missing practice because of his Mom’s illness and J.O.’s injury, this unit hasn’t had a ton of practice time together. They will need to bring their “A” game v. Pittsburgh and J.O. will need to get ready. In Brooks’ defense Boller said, “Obviously [Ogden] is a big asset, but I think Ethan Brooks stepped in and did a great job. I have all the confidence in the world in him." Wait until you see the game film Kyle."

Latest word is that Ogden will be back in the lineup Sunday.

But Pittsburgh is usually a tough opponent vs. Lewis, so I wouldn't expect miracles right away.

At the same time, the reviews for Q just keep getting better & better. An article in the local paper had Shanny & teammates raving about Q's other contributions - blitz blocking & receiving in particular. I'd say he has the starting position in Denver pretty well clinched, barring an injury.

I counter offered and told him if he throws in Jake Delhomme then we can make a deal.

dont know if he'll go for THAT. Griffin = Lewis/Delhomme?

Too greedy imo bro... you should've taken the original offer and ran with it... you'd get far better value for Lewis down the road...

sure I realize this, but come on now it would take alot for me to give up on the little guy, this is one of those occasions where I am really bad at. Betting with my head instead of my heart.

if he takes the Delhomme deal fine, secretly I'm hoping he says no.

Tough to say man, with their horrible passing game, Lewis is about their only scoring threat so he may get more TDs and yards than Q

I personally try to stay away from getting people from my favorite team unless it is not avoidable, otherwise I run into crap like this

My thought is 3 TD's....156 yards...and with more time he'll only get better.
(Can you tell I have him on two of my teams! rofl! )

When playing fantasy take off the homer and home team stuff at the door.

Don't let your team loyalties screw you over.

At least that is what I read since I'm a 0-1 noob.

True, maybe give it another game, Jax's D is pretty good so that will tell a lot, but in turn could also make them pull the trade back

done deal.

I got a starting Quarterback, (Delhomme) my previous guy was Leftwich.

And I shipped Quentin for Jamal Lewis, on a sad note since the deal was a 2 for 1, I had to cut Darius Watts.
My roster looks like this now.

QB.
Delhome
Leftwich
McCown

RB
Jamal Lewis
Domanick Davis
Rudi Johnson
TJ Duckett
Onterrio Smith

WR
Randy Moss
Isaac Bruce
Chris Chambers
Plaxico Buress

TE
Dallas Clark

K
Paul Edinger

D
Broncos
thanks for your input OM.

Wow...can I have that guy in my league? That's a pretty sweet roster.

Overreaction from the first week will do a lot of people in i'm guessing
