Texas-Arkansas Rivalry Once Nation's Best

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- In its heyday, no rivalry was better than Texas vs. Arkansas.

It was a regular showdown on the third Saturday in October, one week after Texas played Oklahoma.

It was about the grudge between border states, with Southwest Conference supremacy usually at stake. It took on national significance from the 1960-70 as eight games featured at least one team ranked in the Top 10.

I'm so sick of Texas. Never has a school talked so much **** without winning anything. Two greatest achievements of my college career is getting ~50 Kansas fans to flip me off at a CU-KU basketball game and having the entire UT pep band flip me off at the NCAA tourney.

I love it.

Texas won't score 20 points in Fayetteville. So, maybe if it's 17-0. Seriously, this will be a great game going into the 4th quarter.

What a heartbreaker.... Texas got a gift. We live and die by Matt Jones. I'd rather loose with him playing all 4 quarters than to loose with him on the bench for half of the game (like the past 3 years). Great game... crappy ending.

The Piggies had that game won...but o well, when October arrives, UTerus will get another spanking by the Sooners. Having UTerus undefeated will make the hype that much better.
